im curious, how would any of these 3 things spead up the elimination of exogenous testosterone from the body? its not like the hormone is being "metabolized" and excreted.

If you were only using 300mg/wk and you can get another week to test you could be fine. 300mg/wk should be down to normal levels by the end of 4 weeks. But you say they are looking to bust you so they may spend the money right up front on a substance test rather than a ratio test.

1st of all don't post if you have no clue what your talking about. It is fairly common for the ncaa to grant players, who have already been redshirted, an additional redshirt if they have a serious enough injusry and it is early enough in the season. Now to the important part.

I have to agree with ulter on this one guys. I've played and been involved with ncaa programs for quite a few years, I've never even heard of them going with anything other than a urine test for their first test. Honestly, I've never personally seen them go beyond that. Ususally if you pass that your fine if you fail it you pay the price. Unless you appeal it and then you may see a blood test. I can't imagine the ncaa would ever spring for a hair sample unless it was a high profile case. Say they caught the star player from the national champs and he protested the results and it was all over every media source in the country, then they may consider using a hair sample.

Not coming off like a jerk, but be-read what the kid said. Later in the thread he admits to already being caught for taking pro-hormones, so this would be a second offense. On top of that, his roomate found syringes that belonged to him. The Dean, the AD, and the coach knows.

Teah with those things taken into consideration it sounds like they don't really want him around and the easy way out is to kick him off for substance abuse. THat way it frees up a schollie with no questions asked.

True, not that its relevant... you can redshirt more than twice actually.

I played 4 years D1 ball, and our starting fullback was actually older than 2 of our coaches because he got redshirted 3 times.

If its a piss test you might be able to use a urinator... but from what youre saying it sounds like youre just not careful enough man.
