help with forearm size...

the one thing that I really lack is good sized forearms.

the thing is, when I do wrist curls with a dumbell, it will work the forearm nicely, but it really hurts my wrist..it hurts for a while when I use it. Should I use less weight? or do different exercises??

What other exercises could be good that wont hurt my wrists??
 
you could probably try doing behind the back barbell wrist curls...

what you do is get a barbell from behind and just curl with your wrist upwards. this position allows you to go heavy, since the range of motion isn't to great.

I love doing barbell wrists curls and my wrists don't really hurt, they just get sore.
 
I dont know if you use straps or not, but if you do try going without them for awhile.

You could stand up with a dmb at ur side and do wrist curls that way also.

Reverse grip curls work good for me, just make sure u keep ur elbows straight and not bring them forward. I like reverse grips on the preacher bench, really burns!
