HELP! Have stopped burning fat!!

I have been hitting it hard for 4 months now. I slashed my bodyfat in half for the first three months, but haven't gone any lower! I currently take in as close to zero carbs from Sunday to Friday with a sort of "free-but-not-overboard" carb up day on Saturday. I train with weights (8 to 10 reps, 8 to 12 sets per part w/ 30 second rests) 4 days a week and do cardio 4 to 5 days a week at moderate-high intensity for 25 to 30 minutes first thing in A.M. on empty stomach. I eat 6 times a day and about 200 grams protein, very little sodium. I just got off a cycle and now suuplement with Xenadrine, Taraxatone, vitamins, and BCAA's. It is like I have hit a fat burning wall or something! I have done everything I know of thus far (anabolic diet, bodyopus, etc.)! Can you feel my frustration!!!! Is it possible to do too much cardio.....? Should I change my diet.....? Hell, maybe I'll go on the damn Bill Phillips-Body For Life! Someone HELP!!!!

First off...low carb diets are good, but you might have gone too far with that, you want a moderate ammount of carbs but if your seriosly training your going to need something to fuel you. Your not resting long enough between sets when your lifting, if you want short rest periods do between 1:30 and 2:00 minutes...doing 30 second rests you might as well be doing aerobics. Your cardio is probably good, 30-35 mins at low to moderate intensity are what I would suggest, especially with how much your doing...try and have at least one day a week with no lifting or cardio so you get enough rest. Make sure your cycling the xenadrine, otherwise that stuff isnt worth anything. Sometimes you also just hit a little wall, I am seeing that right now with weight gain and it is tough(i calculated that I need 4800 cals on training days to gain at all...i used to eat 7+ meals but now i am lucky to get in a good 5)...what you miht need is a week off, technically your supposed to take them once every couple months but you can get away with 3+ months just not much longer. If you have been on for 4 months strait, take a break...still diet, and you can do your zero carb if your not training but i think a week off and these little changes in your training should be enough to at least get you going a little.

congrats with your progress so far...

Dont try to get further cut, by minimizing time between sets (keep that at least at 45 seconds) but instead keep pushing heavy 8 rep stuff to preserve muscle while cutting AND

ADD High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) immediately after
doing weights. Also Throw in FLAXSEED OIL , 3 tablespoons a day.

This will skyrocket your BMR

Make sure the carbs you ingest are mostly complex, prefferable green stuff, like spinach, broccoli etc...

An excellent shredding survival pack can be made if we mix:
- brown rice
- tuna
- dark green vegetables
- flaxseed oil

It tastes actually good!
Make enough for 2-3 days, It's all about tupperware...

Thanks for the advice guys! I have been watching and studying the boards for a while now and finally decided to become a member. I am very impressed with the results from my first post! I have been amatuer bodybuilding for 15 years and just came back off a 2 year break from back surgery. Knowledge is everything so I am always open to different things. Greek Freak, I completely missed the fact that I should take a small break after being so intense! I will add some a few complex carbs and bump up my rest between sets. You gave me some great advice....Thanks! Bignate73, not quite sure what your trying to say, but thanks. And Vortexx I will be sure to throw your suggestions into the mix! Does flaxseed oil make that big of a difference? I have seen alot of topics on it! Thanks again! I'll keep you posted on progress.

contrary to what dr. atkins, dan duchaine etc would have you believe, not everyone may be suited for keto/high protein diets, especially for the period of time you have been on one. you may want to give yourself some balance of carbs protein and fat and just keep yourself in a calorie deficit. chances are your energy levels will return and you can train harder and longer. if you really want to keep yourself low on the cals, go low on non training days and higher on training days, while still maintaining a calorie deficit. your body will thrive on the extra cals and you will still be alright with your BMR on days where you are less active. if i had to guess, your BMR is in the basement right now due to overtraining and lack of adequate food.

just a thought.
