I was just curious to see if anyone has ever calculated how much weight they move in a training week. I'm talking every excercise combined weight....even warm ups. I've always wondered, but never actually sat down to do the math. If you know, plz share....thanx!
 
Lol, you made me curious. I know my weights, so with some rounding...about 5500 pounds last week.

I thought about it and thought how would you calulate that? i mean if i did 135 for 10 reps on bench for warmups i moved 1350lbs right?
i think the numbers would be huge if i did it for the day much less the week. just bench would be big numbers:
135 x 10 = 1350
185 x 8 = 1480
225 x 8 = 1800
275 x 6 = 1650
315 x 4 = 1260
335 x 2 = 670
thats 8210 lbs on just bench... I've got too much time on my hands to be calculating that out. :freak:
 
Holy cow, you're right! Multiply my number by 5 to get the actual number since I did 5 reps of everything for 1 set last week.

So it's more like 16,500

See what Im saying.....Its crazy to know just how much wieght you move in a single week, I do legs tonight, so I'm gonna keep track and see what I get in just a leg workout...

monday
bench 5x5 195 = 4875
dumbell press 2x10 68 = 1360
flyes 2 x 10 52 = 1040
abs/forearms..i wont count
total = 7275

wednesday
close grip bench 5x5 170 = 4250
ez-bar curl 5x5 80 = 2000
skull crusher 2 x 10 80 = 1600
preacher curl 2 x 10 100 = 2000
lying tricep extension 2 x 10 30+30 = 1200
concentration curl 2 x 10 35+25 = 1400
abs-wont count
total = 12450

thursday
squats 5x5 250 = 6250
box squats 3x3 275 = 2475
military press 5x5 130 = 3250
side laterals 2 x 10 20 + 20 = 800
upright rows 2 x 10 80 = 1600
total = 14375

friday
deadlift 5x5 265 = 6625
chin ups 4 x 8 160(bw) = 5120
barbell row 2 x 10 115 = 2300
leg curl 4 x 5 125 = 2500
abs-wont count
total = 16545

week total = 50645 so thats without any warm ups, forearms or ab exercises. Now if you get b-fold or someone like that to add up their weight, im sure it will go over 100,000 :).
 
A relatively light, pull-based workout.

Javorek complex (snatch-grip power pull, clean-grip power-pull, barbell row superset)
40kg x 6 x 2

Hang clean 3 x 5
45kg x 5 x 3

Snatch-grip deadlift
80kg x 5 x 3

Medium-grip pull-ups
BW x 5 x 3

Close-grip chin-ups
BW x 5 x 2

Snatch cuban press
3kg x 20 x 1

Abdominals:
Hanging leg raise with pike x 5
Hanging knee raise x 10
Side bends
15kg x 10/side
Crunches x 20
Russian twists (soccer ball between knees)
5kg x 14
3kg x 10

Total: 5287.5kg excluding abdominals = 11632.5lbs

Obviously that is a single workout, not a whole week.

Now I'm procrastinating. I really should be studying!
