Hardboiled eggs- the secret!

So I spent the weekend trying to figure out how to boil the eggs so they peel easy and without wasting alot, and here it is:

Bring the eggs to a boil then remove from heat and cool them down quickly.

Allow them to rest for 15-20 min, then bring them to a boil again, and then cool quickly.

Easiest batch of eggs to peel and none wasted.

Cool. Haven't had hard boiled eggs in a while. Good alternative if you get sick of egg white omelettes everyday. Also heard that really fresh eggs (under 3 days old) are hardest to peel. Another "trick" is to tap both ends of the eggs to cause a crack, then roll the egg back and forth on a hard surface to break the shell.

It might even be easier to cool them completely by running cold water over them immediately after you take them off the heat. You don't have to re-heat them again.

I just boil em in salted water to keep em from breaking, then run cold in the pot once there cooked then peel. The shells always come off like butter. It does'nt have to be that complicated.

here is the real easy way, adda few tablespoons of vinegar to the water prior to boiling. boil the water, add the eggs to boiling water, put all you eggs in the boiling water, set the timer for 20 mins AFTER the water starts boiling again, while thats happening get some water and add ice to it, imediatle after boiling the egg, drain and place in ice bath. let sit for 10-15 mins and viola, your done. never stix guaranteed.

Buy the egg hole maker thingy - it makes a tiny pin prick hole in the egg.
Boil your eggs, when done, run and soak in cold water - eat or throw in the fridge.
