gymnasts bodies

gymnastic bodies look almost as good as bodybuilders.... up to a certain level. and gymnasts do this on pushups, pullups, dips, and lots of bodyweight movements.
anyone know a good program to achieve a body like these guys? 100 pullups and pushups etc. a day? 200? but thats a lot of pullups.. just curious if you can get a body with doing movements like these. also, curious on the reps.. seems like when you hear aout these guys in the olympics, they are training 5-6 hours a day.

the gymnasts you see are competing at the elite level, meaning they've been in the sport for probably more than 15 years (on average), if u had to work with your bodyweight for 15 years u would achieve the same... but working with bodyweight only isn't as effective as lifting heavy ( I feel), there's only so much you can do with your bodyweight,, sure you could do loads of weighted dips and pull ups and push ups, but where are you going to get your legs , and chest and all that stuff. I would never grow like them lifting my own bodyweight , it's just too easy... the hardest things these male gymnasts do is definitely the rings.. doing loads of iron crosses and dips and muscle ups in rings would probably do you good as that is the thing in male gymnastics that requires enormous strength...

Actually there arent. Just very lead. Also very over developed front delts and little back development.

Herschel Walker would do 1000 pushups and sit ups a day. He always swore he never lifted. Try that IF YOU MUST. AND OF COURSE YOU BETTER DIET LIKE A GYMNAST and have near 2-5% bodyfat.

As it has been said before, if you want to look like a boxer, train like one. If you want to look like a gymnast, train like one. Simple as that.

Gymnasts are actually pretty tiny when you get up next to them. They just look big on TV by how defined their muscles are.

some of these guys have some pretty nice size in certain areas but not in others.

they are all extremely lean and small framed. when talking about size, genetics are the key here like everywhere else. training styles dont make that much of a difference when compared to genetics, then diet. some guys spend years perfecting their training, diet, recovery and still dont get verry big. others blow up like its nothing pretty much no matter what they do. all of the science stuff is just the fine tuning for small adjustments.

one thing is for sure is these guys dont care about looks they want stregnth, endurance, agility, and flexability.

Gymnasts, like swimmers has over-developed muscles in certain areas but lacking in others...

Example: Swimmers have HUGE lats and shoulders but they got skinny arm, legs and are flat chested - I don't know why anyone would want to look like that

Gymnasts have over developed shoulders and arms, but they chest ans backs are underdeveloped and their legs are sometimes too big for their upper body

Gymnasts are born.

You need to be very short, young, spend all of your life training, get used to LOTS of body pains and injuries, starvation, and have the BEST genetics that a gymnast can have.
