gym assholes

I'm glad I have my own set up; I used to work out at a gym but if it wasn't the attitude it was waiting for someone to quit goofing around so I could use the equipment. Plus working out in my own little place{a wooden shed:evil:} I can turn up my music and do my thing. Only drawback is not having a spotter, unless my girl is around. And I still need some stuff added but I make due; better than the bs at the gym imo.

Not much but here's some pics of my little heaven...

nice little set up you got going their bro

Never had anyone try to stare me down or start anything. Why would they? I'm 5'5, fat and funny looking. Kicking my ass would be an embarassement on their part.

I don't normally make eye contact and when I do, I nod and smile. They usually do the same. I do notice a lot of the younger scrawny kids are more verbal and loud while the guys in my gym who could tear the god damn place apart are quiet and reserved.

i have guido, yelling assholes at my gym. slinky motherfuckers who need to call attention to themselves. i do my best to stay away. they embarrass themselves.

I don't 'yell', but I make some fucked up sounds when pushing my max on bench/deads etc

Hahaha - I would love to be able to see the looks on peoples faces when I'm grunting like a fuckin mad man. That and I want someone to take a photo of my face when I'm doing leg press, hahaha.

I stay focused when I am in the gym and normally dont talk to many people. I workout alone and sometimes may get a spot on my heavy bench set. I try not to be a dick, but I'm not there to socialize. I there to get it fucking done!

I dislike squat rack curlers myself, but I do find it funny sometimes. I don't think the people who curl in the squat/power racks are doing it on purpose. They may just be misinformed. A lot of them are really lifting pretty hard in there, trying their best.

Funniest thing I saw at my gym's power rack was yoga mat in it with some 35pound dumbells next to it. I think someone was doing some floor press with 35lbs on a yoga mat in the powerrack.

i curl at the squat rack. when your strong enough, you can pretty much do anything you want at your gym, imo. no one is gonna say anything to you, they may say it to their friends but not to you. i used to get pissed when people stare cuz its rude, but now, the more people staring, the harder ill push it. ever realize why you do a few more reps when the gym is packed compared to when the gym is empty. i feel good that im the center of attention, no cockiness intended. the real lifters are the one that have the people staring at them, the posers are the one staring.

I could deal with pretty much all the other stereotypical gym behavior if people would stop doing squirrels (our name for squat rack curls) and would re-rack their weights. I get so sick of people loading up 495 on the bar, doing two 1/4 squats, then just walking off. I've done straight sets of deadlifts where I nearly passed out, gotten blood shot eyes, and could barely think straight from the headache, and I still ALWAYS rack my shit.

I found this kind of funny. I was squatting 225 pounds for five sets of fives. It's not much weight, but I go to one of those fitness centers with yoga so it seems like a good amount to the people there.

This older gentleman around forty goes to the smith machine next to me and loads up the same weight and does a few 1/8 squats. I'm serious. They weren't even 1/4 squats, but 1/8 squats. He was barely moving. He took the weight off the smith rack, twitched his ass a few times then reracked. There was also grunts for each rep. He then looks at me then walks off: without reracking the weights of course. Now that I think about it, he sort of looks like Magnum PI.
