growing

Theoretically, as long as my weights are increasing EVERY week, even in the smallest of incriments, my body should be growing to adapt to the changes, correct? I've been training for about 5 months, and have seen little growth gains, but just recently have started to focus on adding weight EVERY week...am i wrong in thinking this, that strength = size?

Strength can equal size, but some strength gains are due to neuromuscular adaption, in which case the size attribute won't follow directly. Though, in the most basic sense, the more weight you push, the bigger you're going to be.

This gets debated on a bi-weekly basis, and generally boils down to an argument about genetics (after the mandatory "my methods is better than your method" speil).

Strength--->size for me. If you aren't seeing the results you want, then maybe you need to change something, add something, eat more, consider the fact that you may need more patience, etc...

How long have you been doing it, and what are you measuring your success by? How your clothes fit? Caliper/hydro? The mirror?

All good advice. It takes time, if you keep adding weight to the bar, you will start to see the gains you are looking for. Your recent focus on adding small weight incriments will stand you in good stead. If you continue this for the next 5 months, you are certain to start to see results...
