Im pretty excited to do one of these competitions with jdid sometime this year...
 
Well, I already have the 6000 lb challenge posted in the stickies in this forum. As for others, yea, I'm up for it.

I do, do grip work. Not crushers though. IMHO they are only good for closing crushers. I do things like pinching 2 45s together and holding them off the ground for time, farmers walk, frame carry, anvil carry, and rolling thunder.

Damn I want to get a rolling thunder! All the things I like, ie 1 handed deadlift, but much harder than regular 1 handed deads. I agree about crushers except I like doing holds ie where you take say a 150 heavy gripper and hold it shut for time. Also I think crushing grip is really important for stuff like one handed deads, at first I tried 205 and couldn't even get it because I didn't have enough crushing grip. Then I worked on my crushing grip, and was able to et up to 255 no strap.

On a typical oly bar a crushing grip may work well, but when you get to things like a 3" axle it is really wrist strength that holds it since it wants to roll out of your hand. That's were things like Rolling Thunder come into play. You can get the handle for it over at IronMind for about $60.

LOL I am seriously laughing my ass off! No he is 5'9 195+ 22 years old I think, I am 6 foot 190 17 years old. He has also done some steroids, I am natural training for just over a year.

I'll tell you what, I'll go 80 feet with an 800 lb yoke instead.

And I think B Fold would be a good addition to this. He would kick my ass, but it would be fun.

Joe: I think my best total was around 1850 raw. But that was when I was a young man.

This past weekend I did just pull 455 for 9 in a strongman comp in 60 seconds. No touch and go - full stop, reset and pull. I think I had about 5 or 6 more in me if I had the time and it wasn't the second to last event.

Tblock: (current)
Bench: 3x3x235, 255x1 (probably could get 275x1)
Squat: 300x5
Deadlift: 380x5 +380x4
military press: 150x5

Gladiator:
Bench: 375x1
Squat: 405x2?
Deadlift: 475x5?
Military press: 225x5 (he does btn press)

The only thing I might have him on is the 1 handed deadlift without strap because he doesn't practive grip stuff.

Im 5'10 198 lbs. have done a few cycles in the past but havent for a while. Im cutting right now but am still pretty strong havent been loosing much strength, taking it slowly

my best lifts as of recently are
325 bench-
405 squat
495 dead(with straps tho)
250x2 jerk
