Crampy and bloaty this am. YUK! :worried: Monthy cycle is jacked up this month. I sorta started, then quit. Now i'm having cramps this am and Nothin! :confused: This is weird! Want to get it over with since I have a yearly appt on the 22nd, that i'm loooong over due for. :worried:

Are you feeling bloated/swollen? Drink water ... if you feel you can low carb it then I don't see why not, esp if you feel like crap from the food.

Anyway, my suggestion is watch the food choices (only in moderation) , drink lots of water, & take Glucorell & Sespaure for meals like that :)
 
started getting hungry and feeling a little sluggish. Decided to get some protein in.

Sesapure wastes excess calories. When you overeat, it voids the excess calories rather than having your body store them as fat. No matter what kind of macro the calories come from, or so they claim. meal3: whole wheat spaghetti 1/3c. w/ chicken breast chopped and put in alfredo sauce*ragu* high in fat but I didn't eat much :) 2 small slivers of garlic bread, diet coke, 1/2 c. green beans.
**hope this wasn't too terrible of a choice for dinner** probably should've just ate the chicken and beans but YuK!

See, I'm going to sound mean now but:

toss the alfredo sauce
toss the garlic bread

Unbelievably, even though the portions maybe small or "I didn't eat much", this will really sabotage your progress.

Don't worry, over time your tastes will change and even the most bland food will be interesting.

I'm not picking on you, promise, I'm there with you (check on my log, I'm still 157 after 4 months!), it's hard. But we'll get there!

try ditching the crap for a week..with a change like that, i bet you see a big change in your weight. remember all that processed food = sodium...not just fat and bad carbs.

I would get rid of the alfredo sauce I know it's soooo yummy but just not worth it in the bigger picture. Also are the tenders grilled or breaded. Take a good hard look at your foods your putting in your body b/c they can have a direct effect on your engery level and how you feel overal. :heart:

anyhoo, got on the treadmill this am/pre breakfast. 2 mi. on 5%incline. I got a good sweat this time. Probably wasn't working hard enough b4.

Gonna cut out some xtra's out of my diet i think to see what happens. Like pnut butter and maybe the s/f pudding mixes to flavor my shakes. I may cut out sweet potatoes and oatmeal for a bit also. Not sure!
Definitley not going to cheat either. :verygood:

There's nothing wrong with sweet potatoes or oatmeal or peanut butter as long as it's all natural and you eat them all in moderation. You need good carbs in your diet and good fats as well. If you cut to low on these your gonna really feel it.
 
Oh gosh, I am such a retard.
I was weighing my chicken tonight on my new scales and realized that i need to set the scale on 0 after I put the bowl on it. So all this measuring i've been doing is like higher than what it actually was.

*snack* (got really hungry) 1 1/2 plain lightly salted Rice Cakes w/ 1 tsp. nat. pnt btr.*
meal 4: 2 small grilled chicken tenders (like 1.5 oz worth)That's all i had left,
1/2 sweet potato, spray ICBINB and cinn.
I still feel hungry, may go make a salad, or..just wait and see.
 
It needs to increase. I am going to really work on that. In fact I had my mom pick me up a huge travel mug thing that i'm gonna fill with ice and water and try to drink more consistently throughout the day and hopefully I can get a more exact idea of exactly how much I am drinking.

Didn't end up eating anymore. The hungriness subsided:)

Well Good Morning all!

I had a pretty upsetting night last night. I was awake the entire night, waiting for dh to come home. :worried:
After work he was going to play basketball(he plays at a church witha bunch of other guys) and no one was there so he went to get gas and was on his way home, when he seen 2 guys walking down the road that flagged him down. Well he slowed down and rolled his window down and one had a gun and made him get in the back. THey said they just needed a ride and wouldn't hurt him.
Well I'm sitting here at home waiting till like 4 am waiting and not hearing from him, he's not answering his cell. Finally I got a text message and I asked him where he was and he replied, kidnapped. He wasn't sure where he was. Told me in another text that it was 2 guys one with a gun. I just about freaked. I called 911 and told them.
To make a long story short, the cops came to the house and i talked to them and got a call finally from him, the two guys stopped at a gas station and both got out, then he hit the lock button and took off.
He got home like an hour before he had to be at work. He was ok, they didn't hurt him or steal anything (except for a tank full of gas, and scared him and me to death :worried: )
Believe it or not, he went ahead and went to work...on No sleep. Needless to say I feel like crap today and have to take care of 3 sick children all home from school.
No workouts for me today!!!!! :)
**Moral of the story, don't stop and talk to strangers**

m1: bowl of special k, red berry. Bad choice i know...i was stressed and make the worst choices then.
 
Geez, that's like a story right out of a movie. I'm SO GLAD that your hubby came home unharmed. Major {HUGS} to you for having to endure all that :heart:
 
No logging yesterday, was in a daze all day with no sleep the night b4.
I ate pretty well but cals were too low.

Today is Dh's bday so I am going to use today as a cheat day. I had some bread with mylunch and some dessert tonight. Sure can' t eat as much as i used too (thank goodness! ;) )
I will be back on track with cardio in the morning, etc.

Aww sorry to hear their sick. Keep an eye on the strep my youngest boy had that and it didn't clear up even though he had no symptoms and he ended up getting rheumatic fever from it and now has to be on penicillin until he's 23 years old.

First my youngest son (6) had it, then my middle(8) son got it, now my youngest son has it again...and my daughter(11). Plus mymiddle son had the flu last week.
It has been real fun around here :rolleyes: ! Honestly though, I do love taking care of them and babying them when they're sick. And they're so much sweeter ;) lol

Just make sure they kick this 100%. My son couldn't walk I had to carry him and bath him,he wet to bed b/c he couldn't walk to the bathroom. He cried out in pain at all hours, lost so much weight, couldn't grip things,couldn't feed himself, and he could have believe it or not been worse. It could have effect his heart causing what is called carditis NOT GOOD! But than GOD :verygood: it didn't but now he can't get it again or the chances of it effecting his heart is much much higher.

momsgetnfit: that is really scary. Almost doesn't even sound like strep throat. That's got to be the worst case in history. Poor guy :(

Did not do well today, now that i look i clearly did not eat enough protein or food in general i don't think. I felt hungry a lot and that lead to an evening cheat of a brownie and 3/4c. ice cream.
I've also noticed that Everytime i get worried and stressed about something i eat crap. Now i know what my problem is *(well 1 of them)* how do i solve it....

Ideas to reduce a craving for junk:

1.Clean your teeth
2.Drink a large glass or two of water
3.Go outside
4.Look at your body pics - do you like what you see?
5.Look at pics of Bunny - she didn't end up looking so hot by eating icecream
6.Do something fun with your kids
7.Meditate and go to your happy place
8.Have a hot bath, candles and stuff
9.Dance around the room to your favorite music
10.Get the hubby to massage you

I've done them all!! (well except #6 cos I don't have any)

Plus, do me a favour - change your location, girl!! How about 2 steps forward and 1 step back - we need positive mantras 'round here :)

Thanks so much mermaid! I'm happy to report I fought a monster desire to eat a bowl of cocoa krispies with my son this am. Oh yes i could taste em', but I quickly made myself a Delicious protein shake and then didn't want them any longer :elephant:

Bottom line - do anything that keeps you ACTIVE and NOT sitting. When you're active, you don't have enough hands for the food to fit into the activity. I like to clean the house when I get cravings.

^^ SG, you are so right, I have to constantly stay active ... hardest is at work (desk) so that's why EF is always ON ... I need the support from you ladies (& fellas) ;)

Still pretty darn hungry...gonna have a pro shake too i think :)

I know how those craving can be, I am sure we all go through that. My weakness is those little fun size hershey bars especially right before my :rolleyes: montly "visitor". I usually do most of the things on the list that mermaid had posted.

:( Today has been awful. Eating has been good, but I got in a car accident today.
Someone ran a light or something and plowed into me. It happened on the busiest road in town so we were both goin good speed. It spun me around a few times, but thank God didn't flip my expedition, or send me into oncoming traffic. Scary!!!
Now i have no vehicle for a while and it's spring break this next week.

m2: 15 almonds, diet coke

about 10 goldfish crackers
Gotta get my house cleaned up and my kids are tearing it up right behind me.

So sorry to hear about your car accident. I know you are probably shell shocked and it sucks to be without a car, but remember, the most important thing is that you were unharmed....be grateful for that and chug along as best as you can. :heart: :heart: :heart:

I must confess i ate a couple of non diet-ee things last night. Not to make excuses but...i was sooooo darn hungry :evil: even my dogs were lookin' tasty :evil: . lol
I won't feel right if i don't post up what i had so here goes..
1 slice light fiber for life bread w/ about 1-2 tsp of light miracle whip, turkey breast(deli) and lettuce. Those :devil: evil, ornery cheesey goldfish crackers(too many to count :worried: probably 30-40, and 2 chips ahoys.
I suppose it could have been worse.

Anyhoo to today ;) m1: pro shake with 1/2 c. straw.light n fit nonfat yogurt(art.sweetened). Gave my shake a nice different taste.
2 green tea caps.
 
I really fell off the wagon today! Stress was at an all time high today.
I couldn't log everything i ate today if i wanted to :worried: and believe me i don't.

:( A friend of mine passed away this evening from cancer. She was a few years younger than i (early 30's) and left behind a husband and 2 sons, 16 and a 9 or 10 y.o.
I'm feeling really down tonight and just sorta let myself go. I'm sure the family would appreciate prayers...her name was Jill.

Don't stress about the diet. We all deserve a little slack once in a while, but remember that junk food provides only short term pleasure.

I had a really nice day today, birthday party for my sis and Dh. (just don't ask what i ate) and we played cranium..which was really fun!!!
Really helped to get my mind off stuff!

Hi guys!! This has been a very busy hectic day!

m1: pro shake w/2 tsp anpb, 1/4 c 1% cott.cheese, 1 splenda, h20
m2: 1/3 c. oats, splenda, cinn.
m3: mixed 1 can tuna w/ 2 tsp lite mir. whip and mustard ate about 3/4 of it, + 6 triscuits
m4: 1.5 rice cakes(lightly salted) w/ about 1 tsp ANPB
m5: ground chicken breast patty seasoned w/ chef paul prudhomme's, about 1/2 c. green beans

*on a side note, i fried my ground chicken tonight in pam and seasoned the patties and they were darn good. I think i can eat them just like that. I used the whole pack and ate one and refrig. the rest for the rest of the week.
