Gains after a layoff?

Ok, ive done practically nothing in the weightroom for the last three months. I have been in football so ive been doing something. but my question is how long have you guys been on a layoff and came back. How long did it take you to reach your previous strength levels. What were your before and after stats?

hey
beginning in May 2002 I started lifting again after about a 6 month layoff. My bench before the layoff was 295, my SQ and DL I did not know at that point. I estimate my bench was around 225-245 when I started back into it, and I would say it took about 2 months to get back to 295, and I am now benching 315 after 6 months of training. I would also estimate I gained back all the muscle mass I lost after about 2 months of serious training. I am a small lifter though, and wasn't very advanced before the layoff, i.e. I wasn't doing a full body workout, just an upper body. So if you are more advanced it may take a little longer to get back to the top of your game.

I agree with DOM. It depends on your level of training, though it should come back fairly quickly. Faster than if you had never trained at all, at least.
