I wasn't talking about HST, but rather all these recent postings of links to places where testing was done to show this or that.

Louden, that routine looks solid. How many days rest before you repeated the cycle? Or did you just do every other day?

Every other day. . . I would take an additional days worth of rest if I didn't feel totally recuperated.

Looks great. Why did you switch up from that? That actually looks very similar to what Mike Mentzer did when he was a pro (every other day, 2-6 working sets per body part etc).

Love the new avatar pics, looking swole. How is your recent progress? You are one of the hardest working bros on elite. And it shows too. Keep it up!

Thanks for the comments. . .I have been training for several years. The only thing I can do is work hard to make good gains. . .especially since I am free of anabolics.

I may decide to migrate towards this type of routine in the summer time. The volume is still low and the intensity is high.

I have always liked the training methods of Mike Mentzer and Dorian Yates. These two men were extremely intense and had mental strength greater than most of their competitors.

This summer I plan to make some serious gains since I can develop a better diet and get to bed at an earlier time. Right now, I am struggling to get a number of projects and other tasks completed. I have been staying up late and my diet has been a little shaky. . .all of this is temporary. Good news is that I am still hitting the gym and making some reasonable progress.

I train with so much effort and intensity, that there's NO way I can train more than 3 body parts a workout. I just don't think you can do a fullbody workout without slacking off.

It depends on how many sets you are performing for each bodypart. . .the lower the better.

I know what you mean. I really admire Dorian and Mike too. I think a lot of people talk too much crap on Mike these days. He had his moments where he was a little off, but he was a great champion of the sport. He brought some logic to the table. And the man worked HARD. A lot of folks use his condition towards the end of his life as 'proof' his system doesn't work. But they don't realize how bad his health was at that time. I truly believe it was training people, and doing what he loved that kept him going those last few years.

For being so busy, your progress has been great. I remember some of your older avatar pics, and you just keep adding size and or getting more ripped. It's inspiration for sure. Good luck with your summer goals, with your positive attitude, I am sure you will meet them all.

I find it only works for myself twice a week when i am playing another sport or training for competitions that are not weightlifting or bodybuilding related..... Volume must be cut down

Really good program for those who want to get back into shape and don't have time to live in the gym

HST is working for me.....

I can definitely tell the difference in my physique using the HST program. And believe me, i have tried them all. What works for one person, may not work for another. Of course, you have to allow time and have proper nutrition.
