Microsoft released another piece of garbage with the 360 Elite this weekend, ignoring the source of the vast amount of consumer complaints, which would be it's built like shit. Sony on the other hand surprisingly has a more reliable piece of hardware chock to the gills with features (the biggest of them unproven technology no less), that they are trying to play catch-up with. If they were smart they would've fixed the hardware problems first, or at least delayed the Elite so the 65nm chips could've been included in it. Trying to cash in is what they're doing, as they know foolish consumers will keep paying every step of the way.

This is disappointing because I want to support Microsoft. Doesn't pay though anymore until they change their business practices.

i like the online service, i havent touched my PS3 since i bo8ught the fuckin thing, ive watched a couple movies thats about it, when games come out i might think differently but i cant believe i actually paid high dollars for this system, whats the difference in the elite 360?? is it the hd-dvd? is that all? i have the hd-dvd player

I think the problem lies in today's videogames. Gotta hand it to Nintendo for at least innovating a new control scheme. I haven't played an amazing game since Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time.

In comparison, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was fun with the go anywhere/do anything approach, Halo was ok for a launch title but did nothing new, and everything else feels like it's already been played, just with more options and better graphics. Gaming these days=a chore.
