Fruit in diet?

I love to eat fruit. Its healthy, has lots of vitamins and minerals, and low calorie. What do you think of having fruit in a diet? I know most don't like using it, especially during cutting, but what about during bulking? Its mostly going to be my post workout carb.

Opinions?

Its alright to eat them in moderation while cutting and bulking. It shouldnt be the basis of youre carb intake as (most of them) are mainly fructose. Fructose does play an important role in losing fat, so it would be beneficial to eat on an "active" day.

I think I've read that dextrose is the best source of post workout carbs. True? From what I remember, dextrose is pretty quick to absorb. Is that why they prefer this carb?

Also, what are good sources of dextrose?

Dextrose. www.supplementdirect.com

11 lb. tub for $10 (plus $10 shipping, uch)

Good deal though, will last awhile. Dextrose will help to shuttle protein into your muscle tissue to create the most anabolic possible enviroment. Something along those lines.

What about natural sources of dextrose (as in food)?

There isnt a "natural" source of pure dextrose... most high sugar containing foods (most fruits) are a blend of various sugars (ie dextrose, fructose, etc...)

For you to experience any negative effects from fructose, you'd have to consume around 50-75 grams in a sitting. That's equivalent to eating five to seven apples, one after another. You'd have to eat three or four of these "servings" a day, for a grand total of 15-28 pieces of fruit! As they teach us to say in college...well, duh! If you eat too much of a sugar—or anything, for that matter—you'll get fat.
