The problem arises when you get behind the wheel and drive. Yes my uncle was killed by a drunk driver on his wedding rehersal, and it wouldnt of happend if that punk didn't get behind the wheel after he was drinking. Now would it? Or would it happen if he was solber anyways? I am sorry your cousin died like that, that must have been awful, but compairing the two is complete non sense? How do they have anything what so ever to compare too?

The problem occurs when people drink alcohol period. Its a drug that solely affects judgement and reasoning. Good people can drink alcohol and be intoxicated making the stupid decision to drive. Its a problem of having access to this dangerous drug rather than putting social drinkers on probation for ten years. As long as alcohol remains llegal, people will drink and drive, good, honest hardworking people that make a stupid decision after consuming alcohol, which is what the effects of alcohol primarily effects.
