As I offerred in an earlier thread before it was closed I am personally willing to pay for a 3-month membership to any non-plat member that wants to go Plat and try it out. EF Sam has agrees to whoever that person is. So, in other wrods, it's her choice, not mine.
 
As sexiest member on elite i gladly accept the free 3-month plat membership... my sincere condolences to all the other hopefuls.
 
I'm ready to pay. EF Sam has to approve the person but other than that I'm good to go.

On what basis does EF sam pick someone?

If not me, I vote for The Terminator, he contributes a lot to this board.
 
ok, I think I should get it since, I made this beautiful piece of anabolic artwork, as you can see there is a snake and an arrow, and the middle square has the little pink pentagons (thais).

I just now read this. :) I have no problem helping you JA, but I think you should at least narrow the field down to a few.

As I said before this board is like family and has helped me tremendously. We need a list of candidates to sponsor. I would be happy to do so.
 
That's cool of you guys to do that.

That speaks highly of Elite and how you're willing to promote/support it.

Certainly makes me reconsider popping for a membership.

I'm willing to do it, if you guys will accept an alternate payment method (money order, westen union...)

You're not getting off that easy. You have to choose the one that gets upgraded. Just charge my credeit card once you decide.
 
You guys got to kiss up to EF Sam, not me. She makes the call. This is just my way of showing my appreciation for the site and its members.

He has been a member at elitefitness for a long time and IMO deserves to be recognized.

To the newbies: If you hang out for a while and get the know the personalities of the people that frequent this board you'll never want to leave. I have gained a tremendous amount of know knowledge here and have made what I consider to be good friendships with people I’ve never met. Also, you'll never find an AAS message with quality of Mods and Vets and we have here.

io have only been on a few months but have been quite active and have made some great friends, I would of whent plat a long time ago but my currewnt financial situation will nto allow for it, if i am picked i would be very greatfull, but if i am not, Still love thw site and will become platinum when the time is right. PEACE

a free plat membership would be can u count me in? i close to my second cycle me and my friend are 18 into bodybuilding since 15 our first cycle was when we were 16 deca and test

3 Months would be OK, but i'd rather save my money to be chemically enhanced than to spend it on a message board. I enjoy reading post, and seeing different views, but the bottom line is me, and what I want. I knew nothing about AS when I first came to Elite in Feb 2000, and I learned alot. Hell if e2 wouldn't have flamed me over a T3 post I would have FU big. Thank God I had Elite then, but it's not the same now. I can't see spending the extra bucks here, when I could sacrifice them for my next cycle.
 
One thing that I think should be mentioned here, in all fairness .....

My understanding is that once you go Platinum, there is no turning back. There is no way to go "back" to being a regular member and still retain your screen name, history, post count, etc.

Am I wrong? Was this fixed or changed?

This is not a complaint or anything, its just about being honest and letting everyone know whats up. I respect the right of EF to run the board the way they see fit - it IS a business. I just want to make sure that if someone DOES get a 3 month Platinum upgrade, that they realize they will then have to KEEP it Platinum or else lose their screen name (again, assuming this was not changed).

BigAndy69 and Juice Authority thanks bros., I really appreciate the fact that I was even remotely thought about for the platnium upgrade especially since you two play a big role here at EF!:)

I'm also curious about the comments that Riker29 posted above, I definitely want to keep my handle in the future. :D
 
She said that ayone that is "sponsored" would not lose their user name if they decided to switch back to the non-plat. I asked her to post that on this thread.
 
That is correct JA, everyone will keep their names if they want to go back to regular status. If they choose to stay Platinum, I will give them a special deal not on our site that will give them several free months.

OK, let's start a list of candidates. I would prefer that the Mods and EF Sam do this based on the individual's contributions to the site. I suggest we make it poll and whoever get the most votes wins.

I am curious, so, it seems that if someone is "upgraded" based on this sponsorted Platinum discussion, that EF Sam will see to it that they can downgrade and keep their user name.

However, is that the case for everyone else as well?

Or is that, for most people, once you go platinum, your screen name is now "Platinum Only" and you cannot downgrade to regaular member status without losing that screen name.

Again, not a complaint, I am just trying to get an honest, real statement as to what the policy is now.

I was actually curious about this as well. I am glad you answered it here, and I won't have to worry (regardless of my future decision)...

I don't think she was referring to the norm. She made an exception in this case since I am personally paying for the plat memberships I sponsor.
