forearm curls

Bro, drop the wrist curls. Do some static holds, buy some good grippers(COC, Ivanko). Do reverse curls, etc.
There are so many superior forearm lifts to wrist curls, there's no reason at all to do them in my opinion.

Gotta disagree sir.

At 17, it's unlikely he's lifting the amount of weights that will benefit his forearms with static holds. At his stage, I think wrist curls are fine. He can do the big stuff later.

HOWEVER, sharp pain is no good. You'd either have to go very light and allow your tendons to strengthen, or find another forearm excercise.

No need to drop wrist curls. . .

try different variations that are comfortable for your wrist.

I no longer perform over the bench wrist curls. .I like to use behind the back wrist curls.

handgrippers are good
hammer curls
and gripping bars

"sir"
I like that:)

I understand what you're saying. I should've elaborated better. I've always thought wrist curls were bad for your wrists in general. They put your wrists in a vulnerable position. Once a wrist is tweaked, its very tough to be a lifter and allow it to heal at the same time. There are many alternatives that he should look into that actually are more effective.

I apologize for posting something you disagree with Your Excellence ;)
