say you work out at 8p and your workout lasts an hour and a half or so...do you just have your shake and call it a night?...obviously there isnt a meal after your shake, especially if you got to bed at 10 or so...is it fine this way?

I would probably use an intra workout/bcaa product, then eat a solid meal once I got home from the gym. PWO shakes are not mandatory imo. Especially if you take care of pre and intra workout nutrition.

For intra workout I really like Athletic Edge Nutrition's Intrabolic.

Or you could pop a handful of GEAR tabs form N2

thats what i was thinking after i originally posted, lean protein plus rice, potato or yam right? or no carbs that late?

That depends on your goals, bodytype, etc.

I'd personally try to get a good bit of complex carbs with my pre workout meal, then have lean protein, green veggies, and healthy fats pwo. I do not handle carbs well though. Especially before bed.

definitely eat something an hour after the whey protein shake. id probably eat 10-16 oz chicken breast depending on your size. you can eat a casein protein shake before bed too, thats a good idea.

i hear ya bro, but i get up early am so im in bed by 10p maybe a little after...by the time i get home from my workouts its at least 930, 945...so theres only time for one meal OR shake

ok well then have 15-20 g BCAA immediately after your workout then when you get home have 10-16 oz chicken breast (depending on your size) then have a micellar casein protein shake. this is a good time released formula, the chicken will digest in about 3 hours and the casein will digest in about 5-7 hours. its sort of like having two meals.

That product looks good man. Do you take it all in one shot during workout? or just drink it slowly throughout?

Dude. I've tried a lot of supps and it's probably one of my favorites. The Wild berry is delicious.

I start to drink it on the way to the gym and sip on it all through out training and fill it up with water as I go. It really does make a huge difference in my recovery. I'm dieting atm, so I drink Intrabolic pre/during my workout, then go home and eat my next planned meal. No post workout shakes or anything else. It really simplifies my whole routine.
