For anyone who has read DUNE

I have just read the first two books of Prelude to DUNE - Butlerian Jihad written by his son and Kevin J Anderson. They are really good and engrossing reads. I was surprised that they were so good as they are an extension of the original dune series and usually follow up books written by someone else are not so good. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has read them and what they thought.

Ok, back to the subject, I am actually now on the third book in the series.
They are so well written and exciting. Sci Fi was never my first choice in reading but Dune has kinda changed that. These prelude books are so readable I am missing sleep.
