i saw some fatass last night at the gym. he was struggling with 365 before having his "partner" help him slither into a benching shirt that appeared to be a little small. he then ended up pressing 430. do they really help that much?

I used them when I powerlifted, but only @ the meets. They'll add at least 20lbs on your bench press.

65 pounds is a pretty big spread. I have seen them add 35-45 though. If he was really weak in the bottom position without the shirt, it is possible.

65 pounds is very do-able. I know of a few elite athletes that get 100+ from their double and triple denim shirts. I personally witnessed George Halbert bench in a too small denim shirt that wouldn't allow 750 to touch his chest (his best is 683 at the Arnold) Shirt didnt blow, just held the weight 3 inches above his chest and he blew it back up. A real testament to his INZER gear!

Heavywear is right, once you learn how to make the shirt work for youu, and depending on your weaknesses, you can get a hell of alot from a shirt.george halbert is one strong dude!!!!!!!!!!!!
