Food Allergies: HELP, not sure what to eat.

Thanks for the reply. I had blood tests done. The tests said i was allergic to egg whites, milk (so i assume all dairy will give me problems), wheat and peanuts. There was no mention of gluten, only to wheat, so i am going on the assumption that I have no allergy to gluten.

I should have been more specific , gluten is a protein in a few grains. Wheat is the primary source

So do you think i should be staying away from gluten as well? Kind of confused as to what you are saying.

gluten is the allergen in wheat. It depends on the degree of the allergy. I have a wheat allergy as well and the degree of the allergy is high enough that I should abstain from it. That means no wheat bread at subway... use oat bread at the grocery store... There are some allergies that people have that are not severe enough for complete avoidance. Every allergist measures that differently so you should ask your doctor.

You should measure what your condition is after you decide to eat wheat.

Thanks for your reply again, it is much appreciated. I see an allergy specialist soon so hopefully i will know more and be better prepared. I did not know there was oat bread, that is one thing that has been bugging me is no bread, so i iwll look for it next time i am in the grocery store.
