Capsules are just as good, just a little more expensive. (14 capsules equals 1 Tbsp. of the oil) But if you can't stomach the oil it's a good alternative.
I have 3 protein shakes per day. I have a tablespoon of flaxseed oil in the morning and afternoon shakes but not the shaike I have before bed.
I use Optimum Nutrition Cookies n Cream protien powder in water and I can't even notice the taste of the oil...
If you are grinding up your own seeds, what would be the amount per day to consume?? Would it still be roughly 2 tbsps?? The reason I ask, is that I asked my girl to pick me up some oil and she got me a fricking pound of the seeds. And I hate wasting things.
Usually it's 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed (milled). If all you have is the whole seeds, it's best to grind them in a coffee grinder or food processor for a few seconds. The whole seeds have a harder time fully digesting.
Yeah, I went and picked up a coffee grinder this morning. I guess I'll just grind it up and put it in my oat meal and shakes. Not sure what else to do with it hehe.
