FINAL word on Glutamine!

i like it. if i have a hard work out one ay. if i take a few grams before i go to sleep my muscles dont ache in the morning. but u do have to tak at least 5 grams for that to happen.

Glutamine degrades into ammonia. Exercise increases the effect. Whenever carbs are too low and protein is used for fuel it increases the effect further still. Just another example of things bodybuilders go out of their way to do to mess themselves up.

Glutamine decreases soreness? How do you know how sore you would have been if you didn't use it?
 
I took 20g of Glutamine ed for a very long time. I could never tell a difference. I think that the Glutamine powder is not good for anything. Now I do think that IV Glutamine is good, although I have never done it.
 
Glutamine is one of the most overrated supps out there. I'm consistently amazed at the blind faith in this stuff.

I have recently read some properly done double blind studies that do in fact, show an increase in ammonia levels when glutimine is used as a supp. Its appears that OKG and even BCAA are a better choice to raise actual muscle glutimine levels without excess ammonia build up.:)

I disagre............it tastes like a bland powder....that's it. I use Beyond-a-century (quality brand)..........no taste whatsoever.
 
I feel it's something worth taking, however, I've noticed the best results from it on an empty stomach when I wake up. I read somewhere that you get a natural gh boost from doing it this way.
