I think that you are incorrect. I have made MANY sterile solutions in the Lab (I won't mention the name of the pharm. company but it is one of the largest in the world.) and we filtered everthing with a 0.2 um filter under a hood. Prior to working with the solutions we did everything just shy of spitting in it. (not that bad but you get the idea) I think that the kits come with 0.45 um. That should do a good job of removing the bacteria. Most bacteria are 0.5 - 2.5 um. Virus particals are much smaller of course (0.05 - 0.1).

I do recommend heating however. I know a good friend that made some and took a shot before heating and a few after. He still has a red spot on his ass for the first injection. the ones after that left no mark.
