Fat Loss Haulted...is it Possible?

Hey Ladies....

I'm a 20 year female, following a ketogenic diet.
Additionally, I use clen followed by a week off with an ECA stack.
I go to the gym and life 3-4 times a week and do cardio for 20 min p/day (intense intervals) 6-7 days a week.

I've been real strict on the keto diet except for on my carb up day and even for that I only carb up for one meal....i'll have brownie with fudge and icecream and after that cheat up meal, i'm perfect again for the entire week. However, for some reason I feel as if I am not losing body fat fat enough (and i'm not talking about overnight ).

Has anyone ever experienced this? Have any ideas to speed this fat loss process up without going into overtraining???

I really could use some advice and support with this ongoing self-revitalization process.

:bawling:

Thanks LADIES and Gents!
Truly.

well i would increase the cardio gruadually to reach 60 mintues. Are you doing your cardio in the moring? and on an empty stomach?
Also, are you hitting those weights, need to do that too girl.
Are you getting enough calories with the keto diet. I couldn't last on that thing!

I hate keto diets!!! But that is my opinion:) I would make sure your training is solid and intense and I would up your cardio as well. I think a diet w/ a few low and high carb days can work really well. You need veggies in a diet...so good for you and it does help when dieting as well..Keto is so full of high fats!!!! And it is not realistic for long term daily life....at least not for me. Diets take a while to get down and really get to know your body and what is going to work for you. have you tried any other types of diets??? on your carb up days y are you eating junk????? You need good COMPEX carbs not simple sugars!!!! Oatmeal, rice, sweet potatos, etc....Your body needs these things, it doesnt however need icecream and cake????

Yes, I have tried other diets,..the Eas program worked well for me until I hit a plateu after a while and even when i maxed it out harder and harder with weights and longer and more intense cardio i just remained at tje same spot.

I've done more carbs (complex) in the morning, oatmeal and such and personally I have found that fruit and sugars and any types of carbs simple or complex completely work against my body. Anytime I eat them....i see body fat sore up immediately....it could be because i have diabetes in my family and i knwo that my mother has a problem with High sugar levels...however, I am unsure if i have that same problem.

Write back :))))

Try going 3 days low..like only getting carbs from veggies and maybe a 1/2 piece of grapefruit in the A.M. and that is it as far as carbs go...then on your high day eat oatmeal, rice, yams, etc........and see how it goes.....you are probably just really carb sensitive....but the longer you leave carbs out of your diet...keto etc...it will become harder and harder to reintroduce them to your body...and you cant go all your life w/out carbs......not fun!!! slowly adding them and trying out a few things will really help you in the long run...........

If you stick with the keto diet you need to seriously reconsider your carbup. You need to get the fat out of your carb meals, especially if type II diabetes runs in your family. You also need more than one carb meal. You need at least a day of high carb low fat to stimulate leptin and restart your metabolism. One meal high in fat and carbs will only screw up your metabolism.

You also should think about using glucose disposal agents for you carbup (such as ALA).

GLucose disposal agent??? ALA???? What is it, where do you get it and more specifically...what is it's main function????

PLease be specific because no one has ever informed me of such an idea/product....

THANKS GUYS

You're amazing!!! ;)

Glucose disposal agents are anything that either increases insulin sensitivity or assists with insulin independant glucose shuttling into your cells. Another one (glucophage) also reduces carb uptake and gluconeogenesis in the liver. Some people actually use insulin, but I wouldn't recommned this. Glucose disposal agents should be an essential part of a low carb diet when you have your carb up because short term high fat diets reduce insulin sensitivity. This is even more true if you are borderline type II diabetic, or have reduced glucose tolerance. ALA stands for alpha lipoic acid, and 200mg 3xday is a good starting dose. Take with each high carb meal and continue taking until you re-enter ketosis after your last carb meal. But you really REALLY should keep the fat intake low on your carb meals, and eat high carbs for at least a day. The positive benefits to your metabolism will far outweigh any short term setback or bloating you may experience.

what kind of yummy high carbs have low fats that i can actually enjoy on my carb up day????

My height 5'3" (just making it), weight 136lbs, and body fat around 27%

I've lost 8lbs since i've started the ketogenic diet maybe 3 weeks ago
