Excessive urination

6 times a day would be great, last night I got up 4 f-ing times to pee. I cannot stand this weight loss, I keep telling myself it is all water, but I cannot imagine I am in a very good state to put on any muscle. The hard part maybe skipping my de squat/deadlift day tomorrow. It would not be good to pass out while squating :)

dude i piss so much, dep. on sodium intake/ macro's, its' more or less.

I averaged out how many times I pee a day over the last week: came out to about 15 times a day. Pretty ridiculous, but it has been this way for years. I know my bladder must be small, unless someone has another idea? It's not like I'm drinking an inordinate amount of water either (like 5 gallons or something absurd like that). I drink about 1-2 gallons daily. Still, doesn't 15 seem excessive? Kinda sucks when I get up and go during class...and then I get up and go AGAIN during the same class...:o

My concern was the rapid weight loss also. I am use to urinating a lot, I have been on a ckd type diet for a while. Carb up, retain water, then two days of peeing all the time, but this is just crazy. Obviously I have something going on that is not good if it is dehydrating me to a point of passing out when I stand up :). I almost wish I could figure out what is causing it just so I can use it too make weight if I ever have to. I figured it up today, I drank a gallon and a half of water and have been to the bathroom on average once every 35 minutes since I woke up this morning. At this point any "bloat" I had is long gone.
At two gallons a day I would think 15 times would be about normal, as long as you do not feel dehydrated or weak.

Have you been sweating more than normal or are you constantly thirsty? Ask for a glucose tolerance test. Before I knew I was a diabetic and I ate bad, I would get dizzy and light headed. Hopefully it's something else, have them check. Let us know.

I guess you can think of it this way, most people who don't drink as much water as people really into weightlifting/bodybuilding piss about 4-5 times a day minimum. Or atlteast my friends that is. Now you probably consume atleats 2x more water then them, so pissing about 10x a day isn't too off the charts in terms of relative quantities of water.

My doc has no clue what is going on. He pulled a bunch of blood and a urine test, I will have the results Monday. I feel better today, so hopefully it will just clear up by itself. And ofcourse being that I feel better I am off to the gym.

The problem seems to have gone away, my weight has stablized at 184 or so. I backed off on the food some, I think this may have been caused by increasing my calories from 2400 or so to 4000 all at once. I will not know for sure until Monday, but I think that is the problem. I am going to up the cals slowly over two weeks to see if I have the same reaction. The calorie increase was almost all from fat and protein, maybe my body just could not handle it.

creatine causes water retention.

I retain water from my post workout shake, that has dextrose in it.

Insulin response causes water retention.

I've added creatine to my pw shake and i thought it would cause me to lose cuts so was kinda scared but i've never been more cut up and frankly my gym performance has been noticbly better so its ok for me lol
