My dressing style is straightforward, categoric and exceptional. It´s success is a matter of dispute, I find it nice obviously..
I am hot all the time so I wear mostly shorts, when I can get away with it. Slobby gym shorts or nicer khaki.
I wear wife beaters (AKA muscle shirts) simply because of the lack of restriction.
Really, if it were socially & aesthetically acceptable, I would go naked. When my kid & boarder aren't around I go naked around the house.
I also wear blue jeans & light coloured cargo pants. I wear polo shirts or short sleeve button up shirts.
I have 2 pairs of sneakers & 3 pairs of dress shoes.
I have 2 suits & several Mix & match jackets pants combo's.
I don't give a damn what people think of my clothes, for the most part. I have no need to impress anyone. The only time I make an attempt to look nice is when I am going out with my wife.
I make a deliberate attempt to look goofy, slobbish at the gym, because I don't want to give an impression to the ladies that I am there to socialize, as so many of them seem to be.

I was simply saying that you are STEREOTYPING.. not every damn American is like that. . All you just proved to me with your post, was that you're one of those typical people who justify their lack of knowledge for what everything is really like in the world... with stereotyping.
He does have a point. Something you may have missed though, is that you may be representative of your group of friends/aquaintences(sp?), but there may be a large group that isn't as world conscious.
As you'll note, I'm from Canada. I've known many Americans, from when I was in the army & service techs that come to work on our machines.
& I've been asked some really stupid questions. I met some fella's in Germany that didn't realize Canada was a different country from the U.S. I've met people on here that don't even know who our Prime Minister is.
I've been to the U.S. many times & met a lot of Americans. By & large they have been very friendly & helpful. Whenever I've conversed at length they seemed fairly knowledgeable about many different things. However, whenever anything geographical came up, they did seem a little ignorant. Some people still think we have snow year round, that we travel by dog sled or snowmobile, or that we all speak fucking french.
I think it probably has something to do with the size of the U.S. With a country of the size & history of the U.S., a lot of the people's lives are probably full enough without filling it with more stuff about places they'll never see. There are people like that here too. Another thing is, with the American position on the world stage, a preeminant nation, some of the guys I met were simply of the opinion that the rest of the world was sitting there waiting for Americans to come & visit. We are Americans, by God, & the rest of youse are insignificant. Anything American is the best, Americans are right all the time, & the rest of the world can't wait for American guidance.
Again I'm not saying all Americans are like that, but that is how some of you come across.
BTW, the people here, for the most part, don't seem to be like that. Possibly because they are already smart enough not to view the world in such an insular fashion, and possibly because of what they've learned from the peeps on here.

I like you man, this is how I think as well. Yes I do know that a lot of Americans are geographically challenged. I have heard from people over here so many stories. By no means do I think we are perfect. Ha and yes, most foreigners over here also beleive that all Canadians all speak French.. In fact the other night I was hanging out with a girl from Vancouver, and immediately a French guy, once told she was Canadian, went into a rant in French expecting her to be fluent. I personally know where Vancouver is situated, and that also it is flowing full of diverse culture. Lots of Japonese in fact, as well as others from everywhere and also which parts of Canada are predominately French speaking parts. It seems I've hung out with mostly Canadians over here now that I reflect back. I've had my share of friends from ever country, but everywhere I've gone, I had one or two good Canadians around, who I spent most my time with going to see things, or discussing things. I admit, I got a little anxious when making that post to tiny. I overreacted a bit. I'm willing to admit that. He's still a good bro. I'm getting edgy over here ready to go home for a little while. Just worn out from traveling. I do make fun of touristy Americans when they are over here.. Ignorant ones. Like a kid I saw in KFC in Nice, France.. I was talking to him and his friend, who were also yelling across the store with everyone staring at them. He's like I'm from Kentucky.. I'm like oh cool, I'm from Ohio, what made you come to KFC while your in Nice.. His reply.. Oh Man I'm so pumped.. I havn't eaten any real food since I've been in Europe..

Ha, the reason I was at KFC, was with a French kid, polish girl, and russian guy who had never been to KFC, and I wanted to see what KFC was like in France.. First time eating fast food in Europe out of 4 months. You know, French stereotype Americans as being fat, from the fast food.. Instead of having some ok sides that you can choose in the states.. like green beans or something.. They gave you fries and a pint of icecream with the meal. I mean that's certainly something that brings the stereotypes.. I'm not a fast food eater, but in class, it will always get brought up when we talk about what we eat. I'm always like, J'ai mange des proteins seul avec un petit peu des lipides. and always there's a comment like.. No MacDo? I'm just like ahh.. globalization.. Funny, when the rate of people becoming obese is greater in France than it is in the United States.
