Edamame vs. Peanuts

Found these at Trader Joe's (my new favorite store). I bought a bag of dry roasted lightly salted for $.99.

a serving is .25 cup (about a handfull)

Edamame

Total fat 4g
Sat fat .5g
Carb 10g
Protein 14g

Peanuts

Total fat 18.3g
Sat fat 2.52g
Carb 7.85g
Protein 8.64g

I keep the bag of edamame in my briefcase and if I cant get away to have a meal I just grab a handfull and crunch away.
 
Edamame = Soy beans. Soy is just o.k. protien on the biological value scale. Its better than no protien but I" am not sure if it contains the essential fatty acids that nuts have
