drug raid found juice in my house

i live in jersey. i brought the box in his room while i was working out and forgot it down there. my older son said he did deal. the detectives said theyve been watching the house. the detective at the precict said that, since the juice was in my sons room, they HAVE TO charge him, but then he said, if he doesnt want him to get in trouble, when he goes to court, just say that it was mine and he wont get in trouble. is it possible to do that? i do admit being irresponsible.

ask Carth, he let the POlice into his house :worried:

i have spoken to an attorney. he will be representing my son. and he said, his friend from anopther attorney firm will represent me. meaning that, my step son will plead not guilty, and i will take the blame. i mean, they have no proof that it was his, it wasnt actually on him.

Generally. cops wouldn't waste the time and money to come after a user. I'd guess what happened was some people got caught smoking, and they named your son as the source. That's enough to get a warrant.

As for the juice, that's very simple. It's your house, your admitting its yours. End of story when you get to court on that. Cops can write any ticket they want, but the prosecutor and judge won't agree with them if your admitting they're yours. Wouldn't worry about it to much except you'll get a fine for it.

thats very helpful and relieving information. i hope your right.

my son told me hes been selling for about 3 months. my younger son also told me that he was dealing a year and a half ago but he stopped. that made sense since the detective said that they were gonna get a warrant for the house a year ago but they realized that he stopped and just left it alone. once this is all over, and hopefully either of them wont get locked up, were moving out of here. the laws in jersey are too strict.

sorry to sound like a dick but there's something up with you and your family that you let your sons deal drugs and let them live with you, plus, leave your drugs in their room. this sounds messed up..

Never let LE into your home without a warrant; IF they have a warrant-NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE ADMIT ANYTHING. Cops have NO AUTHORITY to "make deals", "go easy", "cut you some slack", or anything else. They lie (some steal) and are NEVER at your home "to protect and serve".
