does the needle need to go.....

deep in the muscle.
i have some nice smaller size pins (for legs and smaller muscle groups) (they're not slin pins)
but i'm wondering if i could rotate to some butt cheeks or does it HAVE to be bigger/longer for the glutes. .....that sounded so :rainbow:
 
1 1/2" for glutes and 1" for quads/delts are the norm. Yes, you need to go deep intot he muscle. To close to the surface and you will likely have a nice painful area for a while

i usually do go deep with the 1 1/2s. but these are i believe 3/4.....need to go reread the package....anyway thats what i use for my quads, and hoped i could get away with it in other areas.
i know to shallow is a bad thing, but these go in pretty far (for smaller muscle groups)
but thought i'd ask anyway

if your bodyfat is low enough,then 3/4 pins would be fine for your delts,if it's not you better wait until you can get some 1 inch pins to make sure the gear gets deep enough into the muscle.NEVER USE A 3/4 on your glutes bro.....use a 1.5"

True, true. Buy the right pins, they are so goddam cheap.
 
body fat is in check.
and i wont use that small in the cheeks, i'll stick to my 1 1/2s for that.but thought i'd check if 3/4 would be ok.
thanks for advice, i'll keep it as i usually do.......i should know better than to try a shortcut.
 
Don't forget, you can just buy the longer ones and not set them in as deep with the smaller muscles groups. But then again, they are cheap enough, just load up on many different gauges and lengths.
 
I used 1 inch for glutes for a year or two. I know use 1.5 inch but I think you can get away with 1 inch if thats all you got.

To answer your question, you always want to put the steroid in as deep of the muscle as you can get it. Obviously you need to make sure you are using the correct size for the correct muscle. A 3/4 inch for the glutes isn't long enough, probably sufficient for the arms or delts, but a 1 inch is considered optimal (some people even use a 1/2 inch).

i'm with hyp on this, my lifting partner has me to pin him, not sure why, but i used my 1" on him a couple of times(i pin my quads), anyway, he had big ass bruises and he said it hurt like shit. so... 1 1/2" in glutes always! he almost got his shit caught by his girl, she started askin questions and shit...lol
 
I just use 1inch 25s everywhere they work for me but wouldnt consider
3/4 .

Make sure you use the 1 and a half in needle and stick it in your temple. THis is a new procedure and will make you very SMART!
