Does Glutamine Cancel Citrulline or Arginine?

There is an NO product on the market called "NOExplode" and on their label they recommend not exceeding 10 grams of glutamine per day while taking this.

My immediate reaction was: "anyone who tells me not to take glutamine may as well tell me not to take creatine or protein, so fuck off."

Then, I don't understand chemically why they say this, so I thought I'd ask.

I'm interested in taking Citrulline instead of arginine as I'm told (who knows if this is true) is a better NO precursor.

Now, I know that some products that seem to work well (like Juven for example) indeed have Glutamine and Arginine together, so I don't think they are a problem.

Any experts out there know the real answer?

The reason they put that on the label is that theoretically, taking large dosages of glutamine and arginine together at the same time will cause the two amino acids to compete for absorption and the absorption of the arginine won't be as optimal as if it was taken on an empty stomach.
In a real world sense however, it'll make no real difference.

you are 100% correct that citrulline will increase nitric oxide levels more in the body then arginine will. Using arginine in pre workouts is a very old school way of thinking and recent studies show that it does very little for boosting performance.

The best thing for increasing nitric oxide levels in the body is actually nitrates. Check out the product d spark from n2bm.com. It'll absolutely triumph any sort of arginine or citrulline based pre workout supplement
