Someone is gonna do it so might as well be me. I LOVE the new look. Looks fuckin slick and alot of small glitches were cleaned up and the site just looks alot better. Lets hear your opinions.
 
I don't have the full list but i saw some new options when making a thread and there are some new icons next to your plat title.
 
need to know the extra options we got to judge if i like it better

new skins does look kinda bright .. but the options and more forums is wats important

I like it. a lot cleaner looking. different is always better or it can get a bit boring after a while. good job. then again i haven't ventured around enough to make a complete assessment. so far so good.

It's very different. Will take some getting used to. Looks good though!

I'd really like to know where the complaints department is.
 
I am getting to the age where I don't like to have to learn or get used to new things. If it's not broke, why fix it!
 
Am I the only one who has to now use the bottom scroll bar to see the entire width of anything?

It's a little too shiny (if that makes sense). I can see that we can digg our posts, but I doubt that we'd be doing that (at least in C&C) because we have nothing interesting to say. The reply functions threw me for a loop though because I'm used to the old ones.

However, the error message for giving out too much karma has a problem.
 
Looks pretty prof. but I have a few questions:

1- crowns? everyone hase green k.
2- what are the new features?
3- what are the new karma rules?
4- why do I see everyone's same post twice?
 
One thing I notice is when you post it brings up your post; so you dont have to hit the back button like before. It looks Awesome.. they did a Fantastic Job

I am using Firefox, how do I do that? I've never bothered playing around with any of the features.
 
And would somebody PLEASE tell me what this icon garbage is on the bottom of my posts?!? I exited puberty a few years ago, I'm not quite as cyberspace shorthand savvy as the rest of the kids *sigh*
 
do like the more options .. got way more options .. big upgrade which is most important

i think the posts you reply to should be a different color, maybe yellow or red, not blue, so you can tell which ones you have posted in

yeah, this is really BRIGHT! Kinda hurts my eyes after a while. Can I make the background like a light grey or something easier on me eyes? Also, am I missing the way to tell if someone is online or not? I don't see anything about that.

I guess it'll take some getting used to. Alot like some other forums out there now with the way the k msg box pops up, and some other features.

I also am not up on what all the little icons at the bottom of everyones posts are for. Probably some shit I'll never use anyway.

So far...6.750/10.
 
It looks sleek and sexy for sure. Much more polished

however, i think there's almost too much going on in a way. maybe it requires an adjustment period it's harder to find stuff or see things clearly
 
I don't like it at all. It now looks like every other msg board on the net. It was original before. And yes, it is too bright.
I do like the quick reply options though.
 
also, one post takes up my entire screen. too much blank space. those who dont have sigs also dont need all that blank space in their post field either.
 
I haven't read the rest of this thread, but has anyone mentioned the K window showing up behind the next poster's entry? I tried to give someone K and the window/box appeared UNDER the next post.
 
w/o comparison, how much smaller IS the writing, I can bearly see it. WTF!? I have reading glasses on and it STILL looks tiny. Tink AND not very light, it's not a good font imo.
Can we change it back? the auto bot was a terrible experiment, this looks like t will be as well.

The font is too small already but the page is too wide, I have to scroll back and forth to read an entire post.

Agreed with what Smurfy says about karma, stupid to have the box pop down, should pop up.

Why do people want me to be their friends, what is the purpose/significance/advantage of this feature?

What are those icons at the bottom of the posts?

I REALLY hate the new quoting feature, looks immature and cartoonish.

Overall, I basically fail to see any improvement. Maybe slight speed upgrade but why is the damned screen so wide?
 
Not really bothered. Give it time and it'll become just as familiar to me as EF's previous set up when it was changed about.... 3-4 years ago?

Check out the social bookmarking links and the new user Groups - also, the new friends options. Many changes are under the hood.
 
More functionality, streamlined look, better separation between sections. Nice work guys.

I like the Web 2.0 gradients and text too. It gives the site a more up to date look.

I agree - I am looking into this - it is harder than some of the others.

This is a very cool new feature called social bookmarking. It allows you to share posts here with other people around the world who may not be members of EF.

For example, let's say Rick Collins decides to publish an article here about decriminalization of steroids. Those links allow that article to escape the confines of EF so the world will get access to it and we can make our point of view known.

Hey George, what version of the K system are you using? I can not find the one you are using for 3.7.2 which is the version you upgraded too.
