If it were me I would eat right away. The after burn from moderate intensity cardio is negligable and not worth the catabolism, or passing up the opportunity right after your workout w/ increased insulin sensitivity, and nutrient uptake. High intensity interval training does have a larger after burn associated with it however, IMO, it is to catabolic to be doing in the morning on an empty stomach. It will really come down to yuor goals and what you are really focusing on and willing to lose. If your only concern is fat loss (you are way overweight or have a very high BF%) then you may be willing to accept some muscle wasting for increased fat loss. A lot of this will also boil down to individual factors (what works for some doesnt work for others and vice versa). So to give you the real answer that you didnt want to hear - Give both a try and see what works best for you. Good luck.
