Do you eat or wait after cardio?

I do 45 min of moderate intensity AM-empty stomach cardio 3-4 times/week. After this I'm totally drained. Should I go ahead and eat right away? Or, should I wait for like 30 min-1 hour and let some fat-burning take place? What do y'all do?
 
You are still metabolizing fat after the cardio, so if possible, wait 30 minutes to get some added benefit. Take a shower, shit, shave and you should be there.
 
If it were me I would eat right away. The after burn from moderate intensity cardio is negligable and not worth the catabolism, or passing up the opportunity right after your workout w/ increased insulin sensitivity, and nutrient uptake. High intensity interval training does have a larger after burn associated with it however, IMO, it is to catabolic to be doing in the morning on an empty stomach. It will really come down to yuor goals and what you are really focusing on and willing to lose. If your only concern is fat loss (you are way overweight or have a very high BF%) then you may be willing to accept some muscle wasting for increased fat loss. A lot of this will also boil down to individual factors (what works for some doesnt work for others and vice versa). So to give you the real answer that you didnt want to hear - Give both a try and see what works best for you. Good luck.
 
i believe in waiting around 20 min after the cardio sinc eyou are still metabolizing fat as energy even after you stop, i do am cardio 3 X a week for 20 min high intensity, and since i go to school i just go take my shower then get ready for the day and then go downstairs and eat my first meal. so that is about 20-25 min i wait to eat after cardio.
