Not for being a med student (although he did admit the money is a big draw) no, for potentially being condescending, that's the tone I picked up from his post. That people of average intelligence couldn't hope to begin to understand the intricate mysteries of medicine. Premed is indoctrinated in it.

The vast majority of doctors think anybody who isn't a doctor is barely intelligent enough to breath, much less anything else. Most of the time they don't actually listen to you, because they don't believe you're even capable of saying what's wrong with your body. If they think you're in the medical field their entire demeanor changes when they speak to you and I've seen it happen.

I properly diagnosed an adverse reaction I had to the BP medications they misprescribed to me when I had my heart problem. Not even at the cleveland clinic did they realize what was happening, or did and simply didn't want to admit that their golden child could be responsible for what was happening to me. It took until my 3rd doctor for them to realize you don't give a person with historically very low BP...........medicines which will further lower their BP. It was amazing how belittling these churlish little incompetent knaives could get. Their answer was anti anxiety meds. Bonus!!! everybody wins!!! ....

I will admit, were it not for you having the cajones to take my bullshit I'd probably have so much bottled up hostility toward M.D.s that I'd be eaten up with ulcers or cancer or both.

And I am truly appreciative when you've helped me with weird ass medical terminology Too many ---? and I stop being a valuable resource and honestly, after 6+ years of working from home I don't think I know how to work with other humans again.

the worst ones are when it says "Dr. ______________" b/c many times it could have been several people if you are unfamiliar with whats been goin on. I always wonder if they coughed, burped, etc during dictation.
