Do I need alot of carbs on days I don't work out?

This is my first cycle and It's been 15 days (I'm on EQ and Test). I'm starting to see some strength gains, but was expecting it to be more dramatic though. I'm eating every 3 hours.

I'm 170 pounds and getting about 225-250 grams of protein a day. I feel like I've gotten a little fatter though from eating so much. Do I need to eat as many carbs on days I don't work out? As long as I'm getting like 250 grams of protein will I stain gain muscle as well?

Thanks in advance..

15 days, bro it takes about 4 weeks to start seeing results from test and the eq. don't worry you'll will get surprised around week 6-7. keep eating.

bro can you talk a little more about what you're eating, and how you're training?

I'm training pretty hard. Working out every body part once a week. Trying to lift heavy. Doing 1hr of cardio a week (I heard I shouldn't be doing too much cardio). I try to eat good but sometimes I slip (today I had a chicken parm hero). But I'm defenitely either eating or taking a shake every 3 hours. I'm not that big 5'10 170 pounds and just started training 2 years ago (I'm 32). I'm taking 500mg of test and 400 of EQ.

Originally I was going to run it for 10 weeks but am thinking about extending it to 15.

It will depend on how many carbs u r taking in every day. Maybe you're taking in too many carbs. Like 40BP said, we would need to take a look at your diet/exercise to really determine what u should do.
You do need to keep enough carbs in your system to maintain a positive nitrogen balance even when your not lifting. Remember, you are growing all the time, not just on days that you are lifting.

I just finished my first cycle and didn't eat enough. You have the rest of your life to worry about caloric intake :)

If I had to do all over again I would have eaten 2x more during my 9 weeks on-cycle.

P.S. yeah, I was doing test-only and it took 4ish weeks to even notice anything.

I always just make sure I'm never hungry when trying to put on size, and won't go more than 4 hrs w/o eating

You need carbs...about 2.5 per lb of bodyweight, and if you are doing an hour of cardio...i hope it's in the am....cuz that's where the fat loss is. So eat complex carbs with your protein as much as you can, for as many days consecutive as you can, then if you need to cheat one meal, go at it.

^^^loaded question.

What is your genetic makeup: endomorph, mesomorph, ectomorph?

I take in less carbs on my non-training dayz, but that's because my genetics will only store it as fat.......so I have to be careful when and how I take my carbs.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.........fuck complex or simple, go with low-moderate GI carbs.
