Diet Soda on Low Carb diets, yes or no?

I drink diet soda all the time, and it doesn't affect my cutting at all. In fact, it's the only thing that keeps me sane. Just make sure you drink enough water too.

ok wait a sec.... are you saying that the carbonation makes you retain water? But isn't caffeine a dieuretic? So shouldn't they both cancel out? I know that soda, plain or diet is bad already, i mean it can clean rust, and it fucks up your bones. But im talking like 2-3 cans MAX while im at work for 9 hours and people around me are doing nothing but eating donuts, eating chinese takeout, drinking coffee with loads of white sugar, cuban bread and jelly, chocolate candy etc....

you'll always be able to compare yourself to some joe fat ass shmo, is that makes you feel better, cool...just take care of yourself, he doesnt give two shits, you read, research, train, etc.....start looking up at the guy who is 225 and 5% instead.......to answer, YES, carbonation leads to bloatness and water retention..........it's a proven science....now do what you want.

Caffeine is also an appetite suppressant, right? So should keep us cutters feeling full . . . I've recently started drinking a diet soda every now and then and there have been no changes in my cutting progress. I'm not trying for single digits though, so maybe it would affect a more severe or 'advanced' cut.

The only reason i asked, is cuz i work out with a chemist for diseases and such, and he said that diet soda, not the caffeine free ones, shouldn't make you retain water cuz caffeine is a diueretic so it should cancel out the carbonations water retention.
