If you want to follow DC's plan then do what he says. I can guarantee you it will get on his bad side if you say you're doing his plan, or a variation of it, but change a bunch of things. If you want to follow what he says then you must double your bodyweight in protein, break it up into 6 meals and eat the protein absolutely first thing in the meal. Then rely on good clean carbs and healthy fats until full, don't eat carbs past a designated time that YOU can set yourself, and cutoff fat intake at a specific time as well.
Since you're cutting you should cut off carbs in the afternoon and perhaps have fats cutoff by early evening. If you workout at night then get some carbs in your post workout meal and then treat the rest of the meals for the night according to plan. So if you cut carbs off at 3pm and workout at 7pm then still get the carbs after that meal, but your final meal should be mostly protein.
DC doesn't count calories, he counts protein and relies on cardio to take the fat off. I can honestly say that after a couple of weeks on his eating/training plan I was eating more than I ever have been able to before without gaining weight and actually lost weight the first week. I stopped counting calories after the first week but I was around 3000-3500 on most days which is supposed to be above my maintenance yet I lost weight? I usually diet at 2400 calorie range... Not to mention I did zero cardio and got slopplier in my 2nd week and ate more junk food and later in the evening and still haven't put on any noticeable fat, which is amazing considering the old metabolism isn't anywhere near what it used to be. I'm also getting stronger in the gym so if I am gaining any weight then most of it is muscle thus far. I think the anarchy stack combined with DC's method is a lethal combo for fat loss and/or muscle gain, depending on which goal you are striving for.
This coming week I am going to clean up my carb intake, put definite cutoff times on carbs(3pm) and add some cardio and see what happens. I have no doubt the fat will begin to come off and with his plan I never feel like I'm starving. 400+ grams of protein, if it comes mostly from food, goes a long way in satiating your appetite.
