My grandfather smoked a pack of non filter cigarettes everyday, had wine with dinner, ate eggs, pasta, and olive oil almost 7 days a week, didn't exercise and lived to be 93. Whatever one study proves you'll always find one to reject that theory. I'm sure in the next 50 years or so we'll find out that all diseases formation is based on an individual basis according to his or her own DNA.

Your grandfather was quite fortunate, i buried one from smoking non filters from lung cancer then it spread. However, getting back to the point...researchers can manipulate data in any way, shape, and/or form. Ive been in public health research for some time and you must look at each study individually, mainly to see how they conducted the research and how they conducted the analysis. Most studies that publicize their data on the news, you must examine their info very carefully. The public is very inept when it comes to research and will believe most things they here.

I agree with you. I would like to read the entire study to see if it actually has any merit. Its really scary how many organizations (government included) are paid off by these giant multi-national companies. The ADA's (American Diabetic Associate) largest advertiser was/is Nutrasweet/Equal (Monsanto) and all over their publications you will see the Equal logos. Terrible.

Its a "cradle to the grave" approach which is very similar to the cigarette industry. Get the masses hooked on addictive items (nicotine, aspartame, etc) and have them deal with the severe negative side effects, then couple this with the traditional Western medicine approach to "maintain" sickness, and they basically build a system to extract as much money out of everyone as possible.
