Creatine expiration

Would it be un-safe (or useless) to keep using my Creatine which expired 5 months ago. Any idea?

I bought a 1 kilo container from Nutri-Sport about a week ago and just noticed that it expires in Feb 2002! There is no way in hell I'm going to consume 2.2lbs of creating in 3 months, so I called the shop. They told me that creating has quite a long shelf life and not to worry about it. They also told me that it should be good for at least another year and If I noticed that it was not working to bring it back in for an exchange..........

THEY BETTER NOT BE BULLSHITIN ME!!!

BUMP THIS for more info on the shelf-life of creatine!

I have a 2 kilo container of Optimum Nutrition pure creatine mono. and it's over 2yrs old, and there's still alot left.

Can we get some more accurate details on this topic please.
