My father knew this guy who climbed these cliffs-- it would take him most of the day to scale these things ( used no rope or something). Anyways, he had this "pre-climbing" meal that would help him keep his energy up during his climb. It consisted of a huge piece of steak (raw I beleive), and a stick of butter. The steak gave him protein to help his muscles on the climb, and the butter put enough fat into his body so that he wouldn't get hungry on the way up (which could be deadly). All I can say is that if the steak was raw, he ate the butter first-- so he could slide those chuncks down easier.
