Cramming lots of food into less time

Madd Hatter

New member
When I started DC 10 days ago, I gave myself a 3500cal list of foods to eat every day. This leads to me eating every time I turn around, but it's doable on an "average" day. But I have a crap job where during the week I'll be working at 11am or 2pm, then on the weekends I have to be in at 5 or 6. Throw in the sleep schedule, and some days I only have 12 hours or so to get everything in.

Now I know there's no definite answer to how much protein your body can absorb in x minutes, but I think it's kinda common consensus that if you eat 3 meals worth of food in one sitting, you're not going to get the benefit out of all that food, some of it is gonna "run right thru you".

I'm going to use today as an example, and I'd love input on whether I'm doing more damage trying to cram all my food in, or if it's better than the alternative (yes, I'm going for pure muscle mass currently).

1 hour after lunch (oatmeal with Optimum, WW toast with Nat PB) I had one can of tuna. One hour after that I had 2 scoops of Optimum. One hour after that I had dinner.
1.5 hours after dinner (chicken breast and baked potato) I had a quart of milk and a bowl of peas. One hour after that I had 1/2 cup of peanuts. In probably another 60-90 mins I'll have 3 scrambled eggs.... you get my point.

If you're going to eat your meals within close proximity, it is best if you kept them smaller than usual. You meals look OK size wise but....

Where's breakfast? You also need more fiber in there.

BTW
Peas with milk would give me some mean ass gas.

Yeah, I never eat too much food in one sitting, that's part of why even on a long day I'm eating every 90 to 120 minutes.

That was just a partial example above, that's nowhere near what I eat total. Breakfast and fiber both come in the half day before that, multiple bowls of oatmeal :)

I'm gonna keep cramming the food in when I have to, I've been on this higher cal diet for two weeks now and I haven't gained shit.
