confussion....help!

right guys, i am currently using prolabs n-lagre twice a day(2.5 scoops in milk) which works out at around the same amount of protein and calories as if i used 4 scoops in water, but lasts longer!

i am looking bigger all the time in the mirror(not alot, just a little), but i am not gaining much weight, in fact i have gained 2lbs in the last 5 weeks!!!
i want to be gaining 1 lb every 1-2 weeks.
My diet looks something like this:

meal 1- 2 shrededwheats in 400 mls milk, aminos, vits
meal 2- n-large
meal 3- meat, veg OR meat sandwich
meal 4- 500 mls milk, yogurt
meal 5- meat and bread
meal 6- n-large
also, just before bed i have milk and aminos, slow release protein before bed rules!

does that look alright??
i was considering buying myoplex or some other meal replacement/ weight gainer and taking it once a day and eating more food???
Any help or veiws would be great, thanks guys!!

bro you need to eat more it's plain and simple. Don't restrict protein intake. You need 1.5g/pound minimum. Your breakfast should have more protein, if you don't want eggs drink the Nlarge2. Incorportate more whole foods in your diet and stay away from vegetable sandwiches (you need protein!) Meal 4 can be replaced w/ a good solid meal not that crap. Just eat more real food and more calories, that is the only way you will gain weight. Belive me it's that simple.

I agree with risky...you need more cals. Here are some other helpful weight gaining tips:1)make sure you are not overtraining in the gym.Too many sets and or not enough rest days will kill your progress.2)make sure you are getting enough sleep.3)have an extra large meal at breakfast and post workout...your body will absorb extra carbs and protein at these times.4)have a meal or protein drink b4 bed...don't go to sleep on an empty stomach!5)if you tend to wake in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, suck down anlther protein drink at this time...prepare it the night b4 so you can just drink it and go back to bed.Good luck!

here's another trick w/ your protein shakes. If you can try and add some Flaxseed oil or peanut butter to them for slower absorption. Also fiber (like metamucil) also slows down the breakdown for slower absorbed protein. Just a couple of tricks to keep you anabolic longer, but up your cals.

Definitely. I've been adding the flax to my shakes lately as well. Mostly in an attempt to add good fat calories to my bulking period. It's helped me add some size and keep my bf down.

guys, this is the problem, i am taking in around 180+grams of protein a day....and just over 3200 cals a day, yes my appetite is increasing, but i find it hard to eat more raw foods.
So you are saying have an n-large in the morning, and try to eat more raw foods?
I think the best time for the shakes are in the morning and before bed/after training......any other veiws would be great!

thanx:fro:

Welsh...you simply need to add more calories to your diet.If you cannot do this with "real" foods than you must find other ways. You could add flax oil to your drinks as was suggested(1 tbsp=126 cal.).Or,make your drinks with lowfat milk to add more cals to them.Or,add a meal in the middle of the night. You have to gat as intense about your eating as you are about your training.
