68 is teh suck, LOL. Decent golfers will get 45 or so in 9 holes. The pros get 70 ish in 18 holes.

I only get out 3-4 times per year, so I don't get enough practice

MM I will have to give the dips a shot. Havent done them in awhile. AS well try maxing out on incline... I never do that. I dont think my triceieps are my problem, they are prob one of my strogpoints. I know kids that can get up like 300lbs that cant skull crush 110 lbs. But I am going to mix it up a bit. Gotta go accross state for Cuz's wedding so it looks like its going to be a sun workout this weeked. Have a good one guys.

I know your triceps might be a strong point, mine as well. BUT, the tricep is affected from Dips, JM PRESSES, Close Dip, in such a way that the back part of the tricep, not the side blow up. That tricep is the "benching tricep", give it a check Stand Palms facing away and tighten the arm up and back as well. The tricep muscle is back there too. So, honestyl im strong on the skull crushers too, but not on my jm presses, etc. I never noticed it either untill my boy, who trains smart at the gym, has huge tricep muscle back there, and he can get 305 on the flat, and hes 165lbs.

im not saying anything about your triceps, they are big, but check your strenght on JM PRESSES and your Close Grip.

DIP and CloseGrip or JM PRESS Bench for Triceps Youll love them in your routine.

Please excuse the generic explanation...

I will usually super set these right after I'm doing supine skull crushers ... & sometimes I refer to these types of presses, for lack of confusion with close grip bench press

Here is a *variation example* of what I believe to be a JM Press

Each different site has these exercises listed differently, one for tri's and the the other for chest, but again it goes back to FORM & muscles used all synergists.

Be very careful with the unassissted Dips & FULL extension esp. if you are just starting .. I've seen two people, as well as myself aggravate My pec minor. that which it was difficult, all other exercises (such are Chest Press [Bench or DB] and PULL work ... ) which is why I had to known down all my weights & currently work on concentric & eccentric movement. Every now & them I'll through In some unassissted Dips but usually say, "Nope not ready yet..."

Last guy was out for the same 3 weeks I was (I had 'health issues' my tie-in issues were addressed through deep tissue with with Magic Hands Katie the previos 2 weeks, and NO Hick she did NOT finish me off...;) )

He was injured ... I saw him wincing the same way I was, holding the same places I was ... My first words were... "Have you been doing unassisted dips?"

Previous conversationf on his FUll ROM & potential for injury went causes these issues went unheeded .... & eventually things got worse after I made him show me a Dip .... Thos was Not really a 'noob' or amateur ... been around for years.

Pain went from Pec minor, to Pec Major, Levator Scapulae, not to EXCLUDE his lat and a huge knot where the tie in lays ... anyway, I'll stop rambling...

I knew B would have it. I do those the same as Bunny. Superset them at the end of skull crushers. Maybe I will spend more time on them and work on my dips as well.

i know ur walking around trying to kill everything u do now, so why not kill some really good excercises since u are a strong bastart anyway
 
My back. Actully for the first time in my life is making serious progress and to my buddys that have been watching my change have noticed the most. Its still pathetic but its getting better. I do back split.

Bent over lat rows. Pryamid up to 185.

Lat pull downs I dont know the weight but I was pulling a down a good number last time I went. 3 sets

Then the next day I lift with back its:

Deadlifts- In between sets I do weighted back extensions
Heavy Rows- 3 sets including warm up. Heavy. Maybe 4-6 reps.
Then I try to get some wide grip pull ups. Those fuckers are hard. I can usally only get one or 2 until I have to run over to the machine for some assistance. Finally starting to put on weight. Im up to 203 from 196. I think I simply wasnt eating enough. Still got 5 weeks left :)

Ok, first i noticed, NO Chinups? Get them into your routine! Ive noticed my back BLOWING up since i added them. I do see Pullups, but chinups are more for the back. Dont worry if 2 is the only u can do, i started doing negatives. now im up to 2 sets @ 10 reps, last 2 sets is a battle still.

Second, you can drop the useless Lat Pulldowns ( If you substitute the chinups)

I do Heavy T-Bar Rows, just because i started my 5x5 plan with them. When im done, and start my new 5x5, im going to be doing Glen Pendelay Rows @ 90 degrees. I think this is what has my rear delts and back growing so fast. Its cool cuz i started with t-Bar row rather then the bent over barbell rows like i will next.

(These tips are ones that were past to me, gave them a shot, and very impressed with the results, thats why im sharing em with ya)

Your a monster bro, and since ur running sum test, why not do GREAT excercises for a GREAT physique.
 
Ya I might run some of those exercises. With my ack its all trial and error. I HATED late pull downs. NEVER had a burn or even felt good doing them. Until last week I cranked out 2 sets and had a great feeling and was SORE throughout my whole back with just 2 HEAVY sets. I always mix it up with back constantly trying to find out what works. I like all rows, i just really have to constantly be careful of using my bis and CRUNCHIN the back.
 
Weeeeeeell, I'm back. That was relatively quick & ummm, not painless.
Last time I looked at the clock it was 11:40. I woke up & it was 12:00. Wow.
Anesthesia has worn off, & I'm cruisin on a perc.
Unfortunately I found out, no heavy workouts for a month :( .
So, I gotta stick to cardio & light workouts. It affects the top row of ab muscles, so any stress on the torso is gonna delay recovery.
So glad to be back, I missed you all so much. I never wanna be off that long again. :lmao: :leap: :jump:

Haha I agree wioth bunny. If you cant lift spend the time that you would in the kitchen and eat REAL clean and diet hard.

As for my lift today. I deadlifted.

Warmup with bar
Set 1-135 lbs 10-15
Set 2-225 10X
Set 3-315 7X
Set 4- 405- ALMOST 1X I mean I was verticle screamin but couldnt get it locked out. I mean I KNOW I can get it. Maybe next week. For sure I could have got 400 thats how fuckin close it was. Everyone in the gym was lookin at me funny cause After about 10 Sec of me trying to lock it out I drop it and throw my straps and just start cussin for a good 10 minutes. Then finished with some forarm work and got a GREAT pump. Then went to do 30 min of intense cardio. Hope I can walk tommarow. Back is PRETTY tight to say the least. But I am happy with the progress :evil:

Ya, gonna work on my diet, do some walking, since I can't work out. I had to fast for about 16 hrs, so I should be able to do that, just fill in with clean foods.
 
I have to get a new hat. When I went partying at Joobie nooner(joobienooner.com) I lost it. oh well. I got a whole bunch of chew..... time to throw one in. Havent all day. Girl left early and left me with some serious blue balls. What a bitch.

I love deadlifting, if that was the only lift that went up on the 5x5 i would be happy as hell lol. BUT i know most if not all my lifts will excel.

Hopefully. I am going to give my lowerback a lighter workout and just go up to 315 next week. Give it plenty of time to repair. Damn am i sore. I need to buy a belt today, I cant get injured. I just ate a large italian sub from quiznos. Damn it was good but I need to take a nap. By that time ill have to eat a again then go to the gym.

You're doing some high reps for DL bro.

If you cut back and do a few reps... and maybe decrease the poundage jumps you make you prolly could go higher than 405 :coffee:

I just do 10X 175, 10X265, & 4X350. Don't feel the need to go higher than 350, when I have other priorities, like my bench.

Your prob right. I thought the same thing. But I get a real nice burn at 315. And until I get a little burn I get nervous about maxing out. It just takes me quite a bit to warm up any muscle. Besides my upper back because its a chauncy. :) In 2 weeks I will go for 405X3. And with less reps on the warm ups.
 
Gotcha.

Warm up using other exercises may be a good idea for you then.... I've done DL's after an entire back workout and pulled great numbers.

...just an idea to explore :coffee:

hidin my chest as weak as my chest is (still 225) It doesnt look near as bad as my back so I am really working on getting my back some size. Dont get me wrong my chest always gets worked but I try to make sure I get 2 back days in a week. And If I am lucky get 2 chest in. 1 Bi, 1 tri, and maybe 1-2 days in for legs of course including squats.

I want to get all my main lifts up to

Bench-305
Squat-330-To the floor
Deadlift-450

I dont think I will be getting that in the next couple weeks but maybe in about 6 months. Im really workin my ass off.

I wanna get my bench to 250, I'm happy with my D.L. at 350, & I wanna get my squat to 315. I also wanna get B.B. Curls to 100. I am soooooooooooooo stalled on arms, though.

I still want to get 135 up on a barebell. My bis used to be HUGE weakpoint. Until I found a routine that got me pumped and sore. They they just blew up. Still have SMALL arms at a little over 16 but much better then they were. I can get up 115 up with a little sloppy forum. I just hate the guys with great genetics that barely go to the gym and have like 18 inch arms and massive delts. I work my ass off for a shitty 16.

I'd measure my arms, but the insulation would skew the results, LOL. I've never gotten 100 on curls. I have to use the kambered bar, or my forearms/elbows get fugged.

I havent used a kam bar in a long time. I used to use them for my skull crushers, but quit that awhile ago. Maybe I should try that out and hit the muscles from a different angle.

Today I was in the mood to lift. I got my military press up to about 75lbs for about 4 on my 4th set. Up from barely 60. Now I realize how dumb I was for skipping out delts. My curls are still at 95lbs for about 6 reps... hopefully I will be able to get 100 for 6 in a couple weeks. I am puttin on a little chub now that I am eating 24-7.

Im weighing in at 207. I am happy! My buddy just said he doesnt think I have put on ANY fat and am lookin better then ever.
 
CityHick, whats up? Ive read you were gonna go buy a belt. IMHO, i wouldnt use one, except for my max max lifts. Such as when i go for 500. Just because a belt gives your back a false support. It keeps everything inligned, and creates a strong abdominal core. But what happens in real life when u got no belt.

If your afraid of an injury of the back, slow down the weight then. I would rather hit 370 raw then 400w/ belt. I just love knowing I lifted weight and i didnt need anything to help..

I dont like belts. I have never owned one. And I want one just for my Max lifts. I wore my buddies yesterday and liked it doing standing military presses. Theres just a couple of exercises I want one and of course my max lifts.

Any of you guys fuck with L-Glutamine?

Yah... when i have my own protein powder at home and make shakes I throw it in. Right now for workouts at my guy I'm buyin' Mass Recovery pre mades.

I use 10-20 grams though... to notice it, and if you don't notice the difference don't bother, some do... some don't. I dig it.

Haven't had it in a few weeks :rolleyes: ... holding out, placing a huge supp order in a couple weeks to stock up.
 
Yea. Maybe I will fuck with it. For the first time I bullshitted with a guy at the gym. MASSIVe. Prob 6 2' 250lbs at about 10% and he can squat, bench, deadlift like it was no ones business. He said he alwayshas a protien shake with some LGlutamine after to help recover. I kinda giggled in my head but kept my cycle to myself. I want to order some YES. And some Ephadra.

The sex drive that comes from Test is getting annoying. I mean there are VERY few girls that could keep up with it. I honestly wake up in the middle of the night with a RAGING hard on. And by the time I have to wake up its the same way. And then in the middle of talking to some good looking clerk youll get a chub. At first it was halarious, now its getting annoying.

Feeling like shit lately, been sick for 4 days now, cant focus on diet, just eating anything I can to feel better and recover so I can get back into the gym, its been only 4 days and I miss it like I have been separated from a long lost love. I cant wait to get back into it, hopefully within the next 3-4 days i'll be back. I told myself that the next pics I post will have abs showing, if not, then I am not posting anymore pics, that's my motivation...keep up the good work guys/gals.

Yeaaaaa i know what its like. EVERYONE around me got what i was cathcing last week. I fed the shit, and superdosed vitamin C, Zinc. vitamin d. and my multis.

Man, 4 days ago I went for a 18km bike ride. Awesome. Tonight I could barely walk around the block, about 1300m.
I have a feeling my recovery is gonna take longer than I thought.

Feeling like shit lately, been sick for 4 days now, cant focus on diet, just eating anything I can to feel better and recover so I can get back into the gym, its been only 4 days and I miss it like I have been separated from a long lost love. I cant wait to get back into it, hopefully within the next 3-4 days i'll be back. I told myself that the next pics I post will have abs showing, if not, then I am not posting anymore pics, that's my motivation...keep up the good work guys/gals.

What dya have? Flu or something? It's bad enough when life gets in the way & you miss a day or 2. Missing more than that , you feel like yer in withdrawal. It's been 4 days for me too.
 
I dont know if I could handle 4 days... This is the first time in my life I have trained consistantly for so long. It would be wierd taking that much time off. You will kill it when you get back, and pick up where you left off.

The way this is going, I'm gonna be up to mild cardio by Monday. Then another 2-3 weeks 'til I can kill that shit.

Nah, not yet. anything to do with torso flexion or ab strength has to be easy. I can maybe get some rides in on my wife's bike. It's lower. But nothing too far. I'll work up to it.
 
You ever think about getting one of those recline bikes that I guess is much more comfortable and has less strain on your back/abs. My fathers thinking of getting one and he rides his bike all over the place.

I thought about it, because of carpal tunnel & tendonitis issues. But I'm careful & these fucking drivers around here are murderous. I want maximum visibility.
 
Went for a longer walk tonight. 2 1/2 klicks. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I'll see if I can sneak in a ride on wifey's bike.

yeah i think it was the flu, just felt extremely tired, muscles aches, slight fever, i would nap 2-3 times a day and then sleep 8-9 hours at night, just tried to relax all day long and eat to get my strength. within a week, I'll get back to where I was and then kick into higher gear from there...I know I gained back some fat, but hell that's life....

Well, recovery from a sickness like that is far more important than gaining a kilo of fat. Make sure you take vits & stuff, get your immune system back.
 
Well its time for me to change my routine a little. The weights have hit a little bit of a platue (yes on cycle). Sure they are still going up but not at the weight I want them to. I think because I mainly have core exercises that worked well for me to get where I am. I need to change it up a little and start hitting different areas of the muscle. by switching some exercises. Maybe do some sissy bar curls instead of all barbells. Im going to do some of those JM presses as a main exercise for my tris. My shoulders are going good though so its staying and same with back. Forearms as well making awsome progress. I think the Test that I got might be underdosed a tad :rolleyes: . Whatever next time I will have something to compare it to. Live and learn. ;)

Nice choice on the JM presses for Tri's. Maybe a Dropoff set of high rep close-grip? Just because ur on the sauce right now and ur healing ability is through the roof.

Every do hammer curls for biceps? They are supposed to more effective at working the bronchiluts head(or hoever u spell it) in the bicep?

My bicep workout.
EZ-Bar Curls - I feel the angle activates my bicep better.
Heavy Hammer Curls - 5-8 rep range
21's - With enough weight to finish all 21.

What i like to do as well, is get the long cambered bar for close grip benching. Set it up in the sqaut cage(only when the other cages are open), wrape green bands around the ends of the barbell, and single loop the other end to the cage footing(should be done, loop to cage and pull up to bar).

The negative effect from the rubberband is ridiculous.

Your backworkout should be good, esp if ur doing the added chinups in there.

Its nice to switch things up once in a while, but still dont want u doing pussy fluff exercises =]
 
haha (fluffy exercises) I will always be Squating/Benching/ And yes now Deadlifting. My back has been healing up much better then ever before and i dont get "pain" anymore.

My Bi was

DB curls up to 55lbs
BB Curl up to 100lbs
Hammer machine- Up to 100lbs
Then finish with 21's or Hammer Curls

I have to do hammers because I am still working HEAVY on forarms for next years arnold classic.

By the way. I just now started doing the forarm work that you have a rope tied to a cut-off broomstick and a 25lbs weight. TALK ABOUT A PUMP and it gets my forarms better then anything. Cheap and easy with AWSOME results. I dont have any bands... NO ONE uses em around here. Not that I care I just dont have any and dont know where to find em. Maybe ill try em out...

Yeah, it'll be about 3-4 weeks before I can lift with my previous intensity. so, when I do start to lift it'll be way lighter, with lots of reps.

Actually, that's in a mirror, so it's my right arm. I'd just finished about 12 sets of arm work, bis & tris, so it's a good pump. I usually try to get my reps for arms in the 6 range, so I might be able to get 100 for 1 or 2.

allright boys and girls the kids back, started back on cardio 2ce daily and back on my diet. It felt great to feel the rush of adrenaline, and the heart pumping rather than feeling sluggish and sleeping all day. I give myself 10 days to lose whatever I have gained and then I want to get more cut from that point. i will be separated from my wife and kids for 15 days, so I will be able to spend more time in the gym...looking forward to it....keep it up everyone.

yea, well,since hidngod was sharing his battle wounds, i got this one this weekend.

Fuckin kid had a grunge agains me, MY GF now is his EX. and i kinda grabbed her up.

So i know he has a big grudge ya know. So were at this party and im talking to his NEW GF. Dont know if its g talk, or regualr convo i dont remmeber, but he got mad. I told him lets take it outside lol

So it ends up me VS him and his friends because my friends just arent there. Well we fight, about 5-6 mins, they cant get me off him, just cant, so theyre pushing/pulling and finnally im next to the wall now. Next thing i know im getting tacked, not beat up, just they are trying to break it up, so i get tacked into the wall. FACE SCRAPED THE ENTIRE WALL. SON OF A BITCH. I GOT A FAT LIP from the fight, THATS IT, but my face looks like roadkill because of the fuckin wall. imagine,

It shouldnt hinder my 500 tho, now i just look like i fell off a motorocyle lol
BUT imma take today off. and TOM i think the gym is closed, so ill have a "forced" rest. since i havnt had more then 2 days off in about 2 months, this is goinng to really help me heal.
