Competition #2 For Anyone and Everyone

Sorry guys no Pics. My buddy was to busy today with work to lift with me so I had to lift by myself. Anywho. I pulled 365 once. Max. I maybe could have got out 380. I didnt want to go to crazy and throw out my back. Then did some upper back and little bit of tris. Split routine is different for me and will take some time to get used to. I was happy with 365. I bet in 2 weeks I might be able to get 390-400.
 
I like going traditional until I cant hold it... then I go sumo. But If I am going for a max. I pull out the straps, I dont not want to get it because of my forarms.

reminds me to make one of the forarm trainers with broomstick and 45lb plate to practice.
 
I strap up too... I'm not training to be a raw powerlifter... so i don't care. I just want to move the weight as best as I can.

Don't view it as a weakness view it as using the main target muscle group more effectively.... I also will belt up if my lower back doesn't feel 100% that day.

I want to be doing this for a LONG time... injury prevention is a good policy IMHO. :)

My forearms usually get fried on back day at any rate where i can't grip a 12lb dumbell and not drop it, lol

edit: I did sumo with my last set of DL's last back day... lol, it was fun just standing there in the sumo position at the top of the movement... like "WHAT BEOTCH" lol...good stuff those Sumo people.

Hell ya. My thoughts exactly. MM107 pulled that 423 with no strap.... i was very impressed. I have to go buy a belt tommarow. I dont usally liek wearing them but now that I am starting deadlifting again... I want one. Better watch out MM107... :evil:

LMAO at the edit lol

forearms ... my grip & fores were so weak until I specifically tried to incorp. exercises to help strengthen them (you know this but maybe someone else will take the suggestion & try it ... who knows ... carry on ... Sumo People ) ... :D

Think it'd be weird to wear a Sumo Suit in the gym while lifting Sumo Style Deads?

Eh... I think proportionally my forearms will come up with my upper arms, they get trained on bi days with reverse curls, hammers, ect... after those i can't even scratch my own head they're so swole.

I repremand my small hands... for not letting me use a hook grip :rolleyes:

Hick: Yah... without a doubt, i was very impressed as well... he's trained his ass off to achieve that and deserves another round of applause *applause* :)

You should be able to pull much more if you incorporate them consistantly and train for it bro... you should be pulling 400+ least beotch.

I haven't tried anything more than 405lb (4 plates per side for our viewers) yet.
 
haha I thought 365 wasnt bad for not doing them. Give me a month. Im down for a challenge.

MM107- straight up deserves everything he has. Wish I had that much disipline.
