ok - the other voices were distracting me.....

:( I'm strong TOO ya know.

Well in that case......;)

*blushes*

I meant weak in terms of size...lol - always a bb'er approach.

Dark side - lol

Never trained with strength specifically in mind. I've hit a 435 and 315 for 13 on bench, 455 for 5 on squat....what would be a good close bench number?

Corn, you would likely be in the 220 pound weight class, and the total to reach Elite (Squat/Bnech/Dead) is 1824 pounds.

Make sure he understands and accounts for a “gym bench 1RM” and an official pause and press 1rm in competition..HUGE difference. Could be up to 10% less at that weight.
But I have a hunch he knows.

Well, when you consider the travel, making weight, lifting without the 'home field advantage', the fact that you are lifting against other people, delays between attempts that you have to compensate for, to say nothing of what can happen when you travel, especially overseas, there is a world of difference between contest lifts and gym lifts.

And the world is not very nice.

Those weight were with a 2 second pause butt on bench and NO lifting gear.

Cornholio, I think its much tougher for women to see quick results. They don't have anywhere near the testosterone levels floating around in them that guys do. So they don't pack on the muscle or lose fat anywhere near as quick as us guys. Unless they are juicing that is.
