Carb question

It is to my knowledge that the two best times of the day to get in your carbs are postworkout and breakfast. However, due to my schedule (college and work) mornings are the best time, if not the only time, for me to get in my lifts. Since I am lifting in the morning, when is the next best time to get in the remainder of my carb intake? What do you guys do or suggest? Thanks guys!

Surely your lifts don't take up the entire morning?

How many meals per day do you try to eat? If, for example, you eat six meals a day, why not make your diet/training routine look something like this:

MEAL 1: Pro/carbs

- TRAINING -

MEAL 2 (PWO): Pro/carbs

MEAL 3: Pro/carbs

MEAL 4: Pro/fats

MEAL 5: Pro/fats

MEAL 6: Pro/fats

As the day progresses, your muscles become less sensitive to insulin, and carbs are most responsible for the release of insulin. This is the reason why people watch the timing of their carbs.

Meal 1 Pro/carb/fats
Meal 2 See Above
Meal 3 See Above
Meal 4 See Above
Post Work Shake (carbs / Protein)
Meal 6 See 1-4
Meal 7 Pro And Fats..........quite Simple

This is what I'd recommend also.

Cool if it does you justice. I personally have success with not mixing carbs and fats.

To answer the original question, I'd get carbs pre-workout and post-workout if those are the only times you can get 'em.

nothing wrong with good complex carbs and healthy fats............try it........it help to low the gi spike (if any) as well............

I'm still a bit skeptical about the oversimplified "no mixing carbs and fat" theory....
