cant increase my strength on legs........

110%

i have been lifting legs for a while without any increase in strength on squats, they are always just as hard, and it seems lately that they are getting harder and im getting weaker on them, do u think i should do less exercises on them and just concentrate on strenght, i was thinking of just doing like 4 sets of 5 for quads once a week on squats, and 4 sets of 10 stiff legged deadlifts for hamstrings, will tihs break my plateua or is htis much too little, anybody?

post your routine.maybe you are over training.a couple of heavy, low rep sets on front squats and good mornings(or romanian deadlifts) have been working great at improving my low body strength.

if your doing the same movements week after week , your performance will suffer. Try rotating your compound movements . I think you'll find that the majority of guys on this board cycle there exercises every 2-3 weeks . And of course, do your speed work.

right now i am doing:
squats: 4 X 12, 8, 6, 4
hack squats: 3 X 12, 10, 8
unilateral leg press: 3 X 10, 8, 6
stiff legged deadlifts: 4 X 10, 8, 6, 6
lying leg curls: 4 X 10

also i do deadlifts with back, and i am doing unilateral on leg press cuz i did bilateral for a long time.

i have been doing squats first in my routine for like 6 months, do u think i should move them down the exercise order?

i'll tell you right off the bat,you need to concentrate on your hams, glutes and some lower back........those are the muscles that make you squat big..........
