me how the hell your suppose to work out your legs with a bad lower back. I am going crazy! I try and do squats( which I am not suppose to be doing) and my back just cant handle it. Its not an injury from lifting, from hockey. My legs are definitely lagging behind the rest of my body. Does anyone else have this problem and if they have any idea or exercises that will build mass without squatting? Thanks Masked.
 
You may try getting a weight belt. I use one when squatting, for those times, when my lower back is fatigued. It significantly reduces the strain. Just a thought.

G - I thonk you right...I get occasional back pains as well and i ussually go with the leg press & Leg extension routine...Works very well and both provide ample lower and upper back support..
