I am a smoker i was just wondering it this can cause any problems with my weightloss or weightlifting progress? Would I have alot more endurance if i quit smoking? Please any input would be greatly appreciated.

look, i just quit, it feels fucking weird not smoking after all these years. i have a better appetite, food tastes better and i can smell a smelly stank ass smoker when one get close enough. lots of bennies from not smoking, less recovery time, no leaning on machines , sucking wind. no bullshit cancer causing toxins continually testing your dna strands. plus sex is better, cause the circulation is improved. of course, that has never happened to you, but somebody is using viagra and cialis. anyway, smoking is bad for you, no positves, whatsoever.

being an x-smoker myself, all i can say is to quit. and i dont wanna hear how "hard" it is, because its not hard to quit. it just takes discipline and self control. and cigarettes are a carcinogen, and do hinder gains from weight training.

here's some advice, QUIT... get off that crap because its destroying your body. If you work out hard you don't want to waste it with some stupid cigarettes. I find it incredibly dumb for someone to care for their body yet smoke cigarettes.

ya i just quit marijuana not to long ago i used to smoke it everyday for id say over a year and i do feel better since i got off that i have alot more energy and i do believe im losing more weight without it(munchies would lead to ungodly amounts of cerial) Ya well this cigarette quitting is definately something to consider, thanks for the input i appreciate it.

My aunt just quit smoking and when she called during the holidays I didn't even know it was her. She used to have a typical "smoker's voice" but within 2 years it was like night and day.

Smoking constricts capillaries which reduce the amount of oxygen and other nutrients to your muscles and skin, so it's probably best to quit if your seeking the best results from your workouts.

Some argue that smoking helps weightloss. I never heard of someone failing cutting because they smoke. I have heard of people adding a ton of weight after quiting though. But then again smoking is very bad for your body.

I smoked for about 5-6 years pretty regularly. I quit smoking last year cold turkey on October 24th. I still remember the day. You just have to stop smoking and stay cigarrette free until you get to the point where when you see a cigarrette it looks gross and then you are good. It took I think about 2 weeks for me. Then, I didn't have any cravings and cigarrettes were nasty whenever I saw one. I HATE being in rooms where people are smoking now.

Cigarrettes fuck with your taste buds. I also read in a men's health magazine that nicotine reduces the amount of blood flow to your muscles.

I have a lot more energy, food tastes better. I can BREATHE. But to answer your original question, yes it will cause problems with your gains and endurance. I used to be a smoker while lifting weights 4-5 days a week. It really hinders your performance, ALWAYS out of breath, etc..

The last big thing that it effects is your MONEY. Quit and you will save a lot of money.
