**Ugh, still haven't joined a gym. Just have no motivation to go in and sign up yet. I'm not even hungry but have to force myself to eat before bed to get my cals up. Hopefully I can get up in the morning and at least do some abs before work. I hate working during the day because my energy levels dip too low to actually do anything afterward. Plus, I think I may be a little depressed and that's not helping either. Aarrgghh!!

Honey, realise that you are going through major change in your life - new town and a new job. Plus you're on your own, missing your pups, going back to temporary accommodation every night. Sometimes it's hard to keep everything going when there is so much upheaval.

I'm not saying that you should put your fitness goals on hold BUT give yourself a bit of a break. Don't panic. Your body is used to shift work so it will take time for you to get used to the regular 9-5. Ensure your meal spacings are even and consider carbing up at meal 4, before the workout, to help give you that extra energy - you'll adapt. As for the gym, go with your gut, but if you need more time to decide, relax and take it.

Most importantly, be kind to yourself. Your coping mechanisms are pretty stretched right now so try not to add more pressure. I know how you feel; I've moved many times and all I know is that it takes time to settle, unfortunately.

We're here for you, mate  your cool cyber friends - anytime.

:bigkiss:

^^^^Don't think I could have said it any better then Merm!!

Keep your head up BG, be patient and strong. Know that we are all here for you, backing you up. It WILL take time to settle in and get into a routine, but it will naturally happen, try not to force it. ;)

You are under some mega stress you need some time out and relax.... Your running your adrenals on high and that's not good. You should read the article I just posted under Estrogen, Progesterone... Not to worry you but I went through the exact same issue you are!!. I moved across country, was getting a divorce, my ex had my dogs, I started a new job who after I took the job found out they were being bought out so I was being sold and didn't know it, was selling a house and always talking with a lawyer because my builder had screwed up some stuff and in order to sell it he had to fix it and it took me a year to get him to do that, and I was working out like crazy, did I mention having to live with my parents 3 months while I house hunted! So I've been there.... I'm just saying it has taken me two years to finally adjust and not be a stressed out wreck. My advice is to make time for hot baths, massage, meditation and Yoga! It will all pan out.. you have to take one thing at a time, and a day at a time, and keep a smile on your face. When something seems to big to get through just realize you have gotten through everything else in your life this is just another hurdle. I mean how would you grow as a person and gain wisdom if you didn't have to pay the price and sacrifice somewhere else!

Gurl, get your little tush to the gym & Hit dem weights!
:velvett: :velvett: :velvett: :velvett: :velvett: :velvett: :velvett:

 Nothin' but love for you ... I'm only TRYING to make you smile ...

I'm in agreement with the ladies ... "We're here for you, mate your cool cyber friends - anytime." :rose:

You girls are so wonderful!!

Thank you! And thanks for your story Treilin. Hearing that helps me in more ways than you can ever imagine. Everyone survives and you're living proof of that.

I took everyone's advice - I did hit the damn weights Bunns!! ;) Finally joined that gym tonight to get off my lazy arse!!

But, I also went out and treated myself to Mexican. Semi-healthy, semi-not. Did I care - HELL NO!!

Like IP said, I'm not going to force things. They'll fall into place when they're meant to. Just have to take it one day at a time, keep my strength up for what I need to and come back at it harder than ever.

I'm glad I have you girls to vent to. Makes me feel so much better. And I'm really starting to look forward to possibly going to Treilin's comp in July (?). I've already warned people at work I may have to take off then. That gives me a goal to shoot for to get my butt back into shape!!

This kinda makes me giggle ^^ everyone diets down to look good to meet each other, take some pics, then let the debauchery begin as it WILL be a cheat weekend :)

I had this idea in my head that a bunch of us met up & decided to hit the gym in the morning for some HIIT. The gym didn't know what hit 'em when you have a line of 10 girls on the Treadmills all doing some HIIT ...

I know I'm a :nerd: ...

HA! :lmao: You girls are hilarious!! I was swimming in chips and salsa last night. :chomp:

I thought the same thing Bunns about us all doing HIIT in the morning. Gawd, I CANNOT wait to get my treadmill back and be up at 4 doing sprints again!! Talk about being a nerd... :cyclops:

Didn't write down anything for Friday, except workout. Very busy at work, so moving on... ;)

Saturday, Feb 4th

8:15 am: HIIT Cardio :dance2:
5-min warmup, 30 sec sprints @ 8MPH, 1 min rec. jog @ 5MPH, 5-min cooldown
17 oz water

8:45 am: 1 Glucorell

Meal 1: 9:10 am

2 sesapure
2 T-Rex
multivitamin
potassium supp
5 egg whites
1/2 c oatmeal sweetened w/ sweet n low
1 liter water

**Went to a local diner to get "real" egg whites. Why they have to make them in butter, then add buttered toast and hash browns is beyond me! I dabbed up what I could off the eggs and threw the toast and hash browns on the other side of the table...

Meal 2: 11:30 am

Zone Bar (out on the road)
1 liter water

3:15 pm: 1 Glucorell-R

Meal 3: 3:30 pm

2 sesapure
2 T-Rex
salad w/ 2 T honey mustard dressing and cheese
8 grilled shrimp
plain baked sweet potato
roasted veggies: zucchini, onions and red peppers
1 liter water

Back to the gym for bi's, tri's and abs before they close. And to give my calves a good blasting, even though they still hurt from 3 days ago.

Was doing pretty good food-wise today until the bartender offered me a free drink. Why not?? Ugh, now I remember why I hate alcohol. One drink has given me a massive headache and my stomach is queasy. I'm getting so tired of having to go out to eat...

8 pm: 1 Glucorell-R

Meal 4: 8:15 pm

Protein Drink

Totals: 1700 cals (33% protein, 31% carbs, 23% fat, 13% alcohol :worried: )

Will be on the hunt for plain egg whites and oatmeal again in the morning, but am going to sneak in some protein to mix in with the oatmeal.

Ugh, I have got to get out of this phuckin' hotel room NOW!!! I feel so out of sorts trying to make meals in a space I can barely move around in. My fridge isn't big enough to hold much, so I can't take all the snacks I need to work and end up eating something I shouldn't. Today was a dark choco candy bar!! :worried:

Not to mention the people above me last night were obviously out drinking. One of them must have passed out in the hotel room and locked the other one out. At 3:30 this morning I heard loud banging on the door and then "Steve, wake up!!" That went on for about 15 minutes, until someone in the room next to them started yelling, "Shut up, we're trying to sleep!" The yelling and banging went on for another 15 minutes before Steve finally woke up and let his buddy in. Talk about a 3-ring circus around this place. It would have been humorous if I didn't have to get up so early.

I did manage to find a roasted chix at the local grocery store. It was one of the best pieces of chicken I've ever eaten. Unfortunately, I devoured the damn thing due to hunger. :verygood: White meat only - no skin! Think there must have been 8 oz or so there and I ate it all. It might have been healthy, but dang it was a lot of food. Now I have to go back and get another one and try to limit myself to 3-4 oz.

Gonna get up early and do HIIT cardio before work to punish myself for today. Then breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Seems to be the best place to get eggs (no butter or grease) and oatmeal. :p That may be my regular thing in the morning until I have a place of my own.

G'night all (I hope). I think Steve and his buddy are gone!

Living in a hotel and eating out when you are not on vacation really sucks, I feel for you. How much longer will this last?

I definitely feel for ya, BG! Living in a hotel really gets confining after a while. I'm glad you've found a few decent dining options like Cracker & Barrel in the interim. Hang in there, girl, and I hope you'll be able to settle into permanent quarters soon

Thanks girls. It'll be AT LEAST another month. It's almost impossible to close on a house up here in less than 30 days, so I've been told. I haven't even found one yet... :worried:

I'm making the best of it though. Walked in to Cracker Barrel this morning and they already had my breakfast prepared. Oatmeal w/ bananas, egg beaters, whole wheat toast, water (no lemon) and no ketchup. This woman knew EXACTLY what I wanted. Gawd, I've become a regular and still have a month to go! It is awfully good tho. Snuck in my whey protein to throw in the oatmeal and it was just like eating at home. :p

In a meeting for hours today and couldn't eat. Had a 2.5 hr down and back again from the meeting and the guy I was driving with deliberately stopped so that I could have my 11:30 meal. He almost freaked when I told him I eat every 3 hours and that it had been 4 since my last one so he pulled over immediately! So nice to have colleagues that understand!

Totals are high today because of the carbs in the jello. Needed something other than pie/cake for dessert and that was the lessor of all evils. Also need to cut out the ww toast in the morning (eventually). Will hit the weights again tomorrow for leg day... ;)

Totals: 1641 cals (30% protein, 46% carbs :worried: , 24% fat)

Girl you have it made enjoy all this ...
Cracker Barrel pre-prepping your breakfast, considerate colleagues, making healthier choices.... shake that worried face off... You are fabulous BG :rose:

:bigkiss: Thanks Bunns.

I feel pretty good on T-Rex. The appetite supressant is great, but I've never felt the heat others have experienced. About time to come back off of it though. Seems to lose its effect after 6-8 weeks.

Remember, your CNS may not feel the stimulant effects but the thermogenic properties are still working.

Since it's worth repeating, cycling on & off a supp like T-Rex will give you back the jolt you get in the beginning if the 'effects' tend to fade, but the fat burning is a constant. :)

That's interesting Bunns. I just "mistakenly" assumed that if I don't feel it, the effects must lessen with time. Since I'm still getting an appetite suppressant I may stay on it until I get a normal routine going again. Thanks for the info!

I am the same way. I WANT TO 'feel it' other times I wanna be 'normal' :)

I usually take it (just started back) to curb mid morning cravings and HOT DAYYUM I feel it. I'm pounding water, more than usual it seems. :jarswim: I also added the TREX back with the Levorex Stack b/c I'm trying to test a little something out (again) ... and I'm out of SesaPURE which is driving me crazy. :insane:

Happy to pass along the info my dear :)

I can relate to the wanting to feel it part, I guess just to confirm it's doing something. :) I also take Levorex, but sometimes forget. Not good... The T-Rex may be the reason I crave water now. Never thought of it before.

Must be the week for being out of Sesapure. I have two pills left I'm saving for my cheat night Friday night! I ordered some Monday and hope it comes tomorrow, but we'll see. Going out with friends from work to meet some people Fri night and am extremely excited to get out of this freakin' hotel room!! And to hit a couple of beers while I'm at it.

So, how's the house hunting going?

Hey SG - I've narrowed it down to some areas to live. Just waiting for the money from my previous house to come in, maybe as early as next week. I have until the middle of April, at the latest, before my company stops paying for housing. Am still ready to get out of the hotel, but there isn't a huge rush. Just my usually panicking at times...

That's good they already understand your way of eating! Most people look at me and say you eat every 3 hours... I get to the point I get sick of explaining it so I just say yep and keep on. Most people in my group undersatnd now and they don't bring any food around me. Like my boss's secretary used to buy me bags of lemonheads (one of my favorites) and she said she doesn't want to tempt me any more or else she would buy me one every week! So it's good.
Things are slowly coming around for you... Keep with it!

Thursday, Feb 9th

9 am: HIIT Cardio on treadmill
5 min warmup and 5 min cooldown
30 sec sprints @ 8.5MPH, 1 min rec jog @ 5.0 MPH x 7 cycles
**I always go 8 cycles but the stupid speed buttons on the treadmill got
screwed up. Think I was clicking to fast for it and by the time I got it
back up to speed it was useless.

17 oz water

9:30 am: 1 Glucorell-R

Meal 1: 9:50 am

2 T-Rex
multivitamin
potassium supp
1/2 c egg beaters
2 tky sausage patties
1/2 c oatmeal w/ 1 scoop whey and splenda

People were staring at me while I put my baggie of protein powder in the oatmeal. They must think I'm a druggie now... :rasta:

Was a really cute guy in there that kept staring at me. I've seen him before so maybe he's a regular. Can't wait til tomorrow morning to see if he's there again... ;)

IP, I ended up joining Bally's after saying I would never go back.

Main reason is because there are only really 2 good gyms in the area. The one was packed in the evenings and Bally's is almost always empty. They even have a long, side area that's empty so I can do my walking lunges and the other place didn't.

Plus, it is laid out EXACTLY like my last gym was and I'm a creature of habit. I just ignore the idiot who showed me around and people are finally getting used to seeing me in there and don't stare quite so much.

It's helpful that all the machines are the same brand as my last gym. A little older but it just has that same "feel." I definitely needed something last week that felt familiar and so that's why I joined Bally's. Being that the gym is my social place I had to be comfortable there, so hopefully it won't be bad. So far, so good... :dance2:

You're right Bunns, I need to mix up this HIIT cardio. 30 sec is starting to be too short of a time. Maybe I'll try increasing the sprint time before tweaking the incline. These treadmills at the gym are old and take awhile to come up to speed. Can't wait til I get mine back - only took 4 sec to go from 5mph to 8mph.

Did I ever mention how much I LOATHE cardio...

Ha - I wish I was. The band set up about 100 miles south of here and I only ended up with an inch. :worried:

Besides, I'm not allowed to get snowed in considering I'm a meteorologist. We get laughed at if we can't get to work because of weather! Which is where I was all day long... Don't know if Rooney made it back to Philly though.

I've had waaay too much fat in my diet today. Am gonna try to avoid it at all costs, but am going out ot eat with a friend tonight and don't know how easy it will be. So nice to be making friends to do things with that I just couldn't turn him down. I'll try to be good!!

You are doing find BG, especially given your circumstance - no worries!

That is so awesome that you are a meteorologist - it intrigues me, but then again I am a huge nerd! :nerd:

I'm sooo glad I'm not the only nerd on here! I would post the rest of my dinner but can't remember exactly what I had. Let's just say this night was a lot more than I expected and leave it at that!! :)

Night (err, I mean good morning) all... ;)

I'm so happy for you, good job on the house sale, getting to the gym, and getting a great night out to enjoy life! See things will slowly come around.. They never happen on your timetable though! if you stress over stuff it's not going to make things any better, but you will always come through and prevail! AWESOME!

Everyone needs some of those at some time! I'm running on empty though. Just one of those days where everything falls into place and adrenaline carries you through. Haven't been to sleep since yesterday morning so think I'll grab a bite to eat and try to catch some sleep.

You are soooo right Treil. Stressing and trying to force things doesn't work. Take 'em one day at a time and things work out for the best. ;)
